Rustic Monochromatic Stars for Christmas with Rainbow Splash!

Hi friends! I have a monochromatic holiday project to share with you today featuring some newer stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp’s Rainbow Splash line! (Click HERE to check out the entire collection!) This line of simple stamps, dies, stencils, inks, and accessories are intended to be super user-friendly, making them perfect for both beginning stampers and seasoned stampers alike! The line also comes complete with ink and perfectly coordinated cardstock so that you know that your colors will always match. For someone who has been called “matchy matchy” her entire life, these coordinating products just plain make my heart happy. I chose to use the newer Glad Tidings stamp set with monochromatic inks and cardstock to create this elegant holiday card. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

The diminutive Glad Tidings stamp set features a variety of elegant holiday imagery, with a large five-point star and lots of smaller holiday images, allowing you to create super pretty arrangements. I used Emerald Rainbow Splash ink to stamp a continuous holiday pattern on a 3.75″ x 5″ panel of Emerald Rainbow Splash cardstock, starting with the largest star image and working my way down to the smallest images, filling in blank spots and rotating both the stamps and the cardstock to make sure that the pattern looks as complete and continuous as possible. After I had finished stamping the images, I used a blending brush to blend more Emerald ink around the edges, creating a vignette effect on my stamped panel.

Once I had finished stamping and blending, I decided to stamp some individual images to adorn my greeting. I stamped lots of sprigs of greenery, again using Emerald Rainbow Splash ink on Emerald Rainbow Splash cardstock, then used the coordinating dies to cut the images out. I also white embossed a sentiment from Glad Tidings on more Emerald Rainbow Splash cardstock.

Before adhering my die cuts to the card front, I adhered the stamped and blended panel to a full size A2 panel of Emerald Rainbow Splash cardstock, centering it so that there was a clean Emerald frame around the patterned panel. I also trimmed down a strip of Emerald cardstock and flagged the end with my sharp scissors, then popped it up on the card front with some thin foam adhesive squares. I placed the sentiment on the strip with more foam adhesive, then arranged the greenery sprigs around the sentiment with foam adhesive and liquid adhesive. Finally, I added a touch of monochromatic holiday sparkle with some Lucky Pawsitively Dazzling Gems!

Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Splash with an Autumn Twist!

Hi friends! Amidst the fantastic STAMPtember releases and fun surprises, Simon Says Stamp has added to their Rainbow Splash product line. (Click HERE to see the full range of products!) These products, introduced a a couple of years ago during STAMPtember, are intended to be as user-friendly as possible, making them excellent options for both beginner stampers and seasoned stampers alike! They feature simple designs, a fabulous rainbow color palette in both ink and coordinating cardstock, and useful tools that will enhance your crafting experience. During the 2026 STAMPtember Mega Simon Says Stamp release, (click HERE to see the entire release!), Simon added some beautiful new fall- and winter-themed products that are simple enough for a beginner crafter to be able to enjoy, as well as unique enough that a seasoned crafter like myself can create something lovely! I created this autumnal thanks card using a couple of the new stamp and die sets, as well as some other tricks to make the card feel like “me.” Let’s get started with the details on my project!

To begin, I stamped several images from the diminutive-but-very-useful So Very Thankful stamp set from the Rainbow Splash line using Rainbow Splash Black Ink. Because this ink is alcohol marker-friendly, I was able to add some simple coloring to these line images, keeping the colors very autumnal with reds, oranges, and some deep olive green. I mixed colors that I would not normally try to blend for the leaves, and I love how they came out! Autumn leaves are truly a rainbow of colors, sometimes within one leaf, and I love that the markers were able to smoothly blend into one another. Once I had finished coloring all of the images, I used the coordinating dies to cut each image out.

Next, I stamped the sentiments from Flourish Phrases on white cardstock using Emerald Rainbow Splash Ink and used the large coordinating “thanks” die to cut out the larger greeting, cutting the smaller strips with my guillotine trimmer. I also used a blending brush to blend more Emerald ink on my white card front, then splattered that background with some coppery metallic watercolors for a quick touch of texture!

Once my card front had dried, I began assembling all of the die cuts. I placed the sentiment die cuts first, adhering them with thin foam adhesive squares over the blended and splattered area, then arranged the pumpkin and foliage in a cluster around the sentiment components, creating a little swag. The final touch for this simple and elegant card was a burlap twine bow tucked amongst the pumpkin and leaves!

My secret to blending pink ink on that minty green cardstock: Simon Says Stamp Pastel Pigment Inks! The opaque pigment inks sit nicely atop the colored cardstock without muddling the colors together as a transparent dye ink would. I was even able to layer dye ink over the top of the blended pigment ink for a layered effect!! Springtime Stripes with New Simon Says Stamp!

Hi friends! I am back with another card that positively exudes springtime cheer! The new Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Moments release (check out the full Beautiful Moments release HERE!) provided us with a wide variety products that are perfect for your springtime and Easter crafting needs, and the sweet Easter Grid stamp set features so many sweet Easter images that make for the cutest cards, especially when paired with the cute, punny sentiments from the new Easter EZ Strips. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

To begin, I selected my color palette using the gorgeous, vibrant colors from the Rainbow Splash Card Fronts, selecting the yellows, pinks, and greens from this cardstock variety pack, then using my trimmer to trim 1/4″ strips from the long edge. I covered my A2 card front with super strong double sided tape, removed the release paper, then began placing my vibrant cardstock strips at a diagonal down the front of my card. This is such a fun way to use your colored cardstock, even cardstock scraps, and I don’t use this technique nearly enough.

After I had created my vibrant background, I needed equally vibrant focal point images, so I stamped some of the eggs from the adorable Easter Grid stamp set using no-line coloring ink, then used OLO Markers to add coordinating pink, green, and yellow to the eggs, adding some cute details with a white gel pen. I love how the details look almost like white embossing, but still maintain the no-line coloring look! I die cut the images with their coordinating dies.

For the greeting, I used the EZ Strips Slanted Rectangles to die cut all of the sentiments from one of the Easter EZ Strips, selecting two for my project and leaving the rest for later. I haven’t always loved punny sentiments, but as a mom, they are growing on me when done with the right images and playful color palette. I trimmed down a strip of vellum to provide a bit of visual focus for the vibrant eggs on top of the vibrant background. I adhered the eggs and sentiment strips to the vellum with thin foam adhesive squares, then flipped the vellum over and added more thin foam adhesive behind the solid die cuts. I adhered the vellum strip to my card front, then added a couple of Sunbeam Pawsitively Dazzling Gems next to the sentiments to add a little sparkle!

To create this quartet of projects, I used only items included with the kit, adding in Rainbow Splash inks and a glassine bag from my stash, as well as a sparkly gold glitter clothespin to close up my bag of birthday cards! Isn’t it awesome when you can create a group of coordinating cards so easily? Let’s get started on the details for my projects!

To create this simple birthday card, I embossed an A2 panel of Holographic Rainbow Diagonal cardstock using the Birthday Sentiments Embossing Folder, both included with the kit. These specialty coated foil cardstocks are my absolute favorite way to use embossing folders; the incredible details seem to be so much more intense on foil cardstock! I also stamped a few simple flowers and a greeting from Birthday Blitz using Dandelion, Pumpkin, Scarlet, and Lime Rainbow Splash Inks, popping them up on the embossed background with some foam adhesive squares. I tucked an Iridescent White Cord bow beneath the sentiment and added a few Rainbow Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for added sparkle.

For my second card, I die cut the Ferris Wheel die combined with several colors of cardstock from the Assorted Card Panel Fronts included with the kit, which perfectly match the colors in the patterned paper from Simple Stories Fun Times, also included with the kit. I heat embossed a greeting from the Birthday Blitz stamp set using white embossing powder on black cardstock and cut it out using the coordinating dies, which you can purchase separately. So simple, but so colorful and even more fun!

My next card features the new Birthday Blitz stamp set, which I used to create this colorful rainbow scene. I stamped the rainbow stripes using Dandelion, Pumpkin, Scarlet, Ballet, and Lime Rainbow Splash Inks all down the front of my white A2 card front, trimming off the edge and adding a strip of the Rainbow Holographic Cardstock and some red glitter cardstock peeking out on the right hand side. I stamped a sun using Dandelion ink, stamping the center with Dandelion and Pumpkin inks to create that intense center. I die cut the stamped sun and some plain white clouds, then heat embossed a greeting from Birthday Blitz and popped it all up on the colorful card front with multiple levels of foam adhesive. Finally, I added a few Rainbow Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for sparkle!

For my final project, I created a little glassine gift bag to hold all of my birthday cards, perfect for giving as a gift! I trimmed down a panel of striped patterned cardstock from the included patterned paper, adhering it to the front of my glassine bag with some liquid adhesive.

For the adornment, I die cut the sweet little Rubber Ducky from some of the included colored cardstock, as well as a vibrant red balloon using the new Party Balloon die. I trimmed down some of the polka dotted patterned paper and framed it with some plain black cardstock, then mounted ducky and the balloon on the front with some foam adhesive. I added a sentiment strip from the included EZ Strips Birthday, onto which I blended a bit of a warm rainbow. Finally, I added an aqua twine bow and another patterned paper tag, then added them both to my glittering clothespin with a red ribbon bow!

More Rainbow Splash Inspiration from Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember!

Hi friends! I have some more colorful inspiration for you today using the new additions to the Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Splash line! This line, specially curated for both seasoned and new stampers alike, features very accessible items, with simple stamp images, embossing folders, gorgeous inks in the most perfect rainbow, and some shimmering adhesive gems to accent your projects. For my projects today, I have used a few elements from the new STAMPtember collection and some of the older products to create this pair of festive cards. Let’s get started with the details!

Both of my cards feature the fabulous pyrotechnic images in the new Firework Sparkle stamp and die set. These images are great for so many celebratory occasions or even just to create an encouragement card for a friend! I created two cards, one super simple and one a bit more complicated to show that even if you are an experienced stamper, these images are great additions to your stash.

For my relatively simple card, I began by stamping the large sparkler from the Firework Sparkle stamp set once using Rainbow Splash Princess ink, then the two smaller sparklers using Lime and Sea inks. I die cut the images using their coordinating dies, which are super easy to line up, then turned my attention to the card base.

To create that “glow” behind the sparklers, I used Rainbow Splash Blending Brushes to very lightly blend Princess, Lime, and Sea inks approximately where I would be placing the die cuts on the card front. I also used a T-square to add a silver acrylic paint pen frame around the edges of my card, but you could easily omit this step if you wanted to keep things super simple! I popped up the sparklers on the blended background with some foam adhesive squares, then added my sentiment pieces, heat embossed with silver sparkle embossing powder and fussy cut with sharp scissors. Finally, I added a few Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems on each of the silver frame’s corners.

For my second card, I chose to create something that looks a bit more involved but actually is quite simple, because the Magnificent Burst folder does a lot of the “work” for you! I started by embossing a panel of white cardstock with the Magnificent Burst embossing folder, then used blending brushes to blend Rainbow Splash Ink in shades of Princess, Heather, and Sea over the exploding fireworks, making sure I chose colors that would blend nicely together if they overlapped.

To enhance the fireworks background, I stamped some fireworks from the Firework Sparkle stamp set and die cut them with their coordinating dies. I heat embossed a greeting using more silver sparkle embossing powder, trimming the pieces out with my sharp scissors and trimmer. I popped up all of the different elements with foam adhesive, then added a few Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for added sparkle!
