Good morning! I have a post using a pretty new die from Spellbinders called Sun Face Die D-Lites. This super detailed die is gorgeous enough to be a focal point on it’s own, so I kept this project fairly simple. I die cut the Sun Face Die D-Lites three times from some shimmery yellow gold card stock, then adhered them all together to create a sturdy, dimensional die cut embellishment.

For the background, I blended Ripe Persimmon, Carved Pumpkin, and and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks, then splattered some orange and gold metallic inks, followed by some water that I dabbed off with a paper towel to lift some of the Distress Oxide ink off. I wanted to create a background reminiscent of the sun’s surface, with splatters and lava explosions.

I adhered the dimensional sun die cut, then added the greeting from Honey Bee Stamps’ Sending Sunshine collaboration with Ellen Hutson. It was the perfect stamp to go with this simple project!
