Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Collaboration: Tim Holtz!

September 4, 2026

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

Hello friends! It’s time to start sharing the ever-popular and highly-anticipated STAMPtember Collaboration Releases! For our first collaboration, we are starting off with a bang with a fan-favorite: Tim Holtz! (FYI: You can keep an eye on all of the collaboration sets by clicking HERE. Each new set will go live on a certain day of the month, so be sure to keep refreshing that page to see what new goodies come out at noon Eastern time!) The new illustrations from today’s kit release have a super unique, sketchy quality to them that is immediately recognizable as Tim’s signature style. (Click HERE to see this exquisitely curated kit!) I chose to create a vibrant holiday card with some mixed media flair and watercolored baubles for my project today. Let’s get started with the details!

To begin, I taped an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor Cardstock to my watercolor board using masking tape, leaving a 1/4″ frame around the edge of my panel. I then used Distress Ink Reinkers in shades of Kitsch Flamingo, Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn to create a watercolored panel, taking care to keep the green and red slightly separated so as to avoid creating a muddy mess! Once I had completed the watercoloring, adding multiple layers to make it look painterly and intentional, I allowed the panel to dry while still taped to the watercolor board to minimize warping. When completely dry, I added some gold splatters and stamped a few sparkles from the STAMPtember Exclusive Season of Magic stamp set using gold pigment ink. Once completely dry, I removed the masking tape from the edges, leaving a crisp white frame around my colorful watercolored background!

For the main focal point on the card, I used Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss the baubles from the STAMPtember Exclusive Season of Magic stamp set twice on some more Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I used the same color palette of Kitsch Flamingo, Festive Berries, and Mowed Lawn Distress Reinkers to add color to the baubles, loosely reflecting the colors in the background, almost like they are reflecting the colorful lights from the Christmas tree! I also added some sparkling gold glitter watercolor on the bottom edge of each bauble for extra shimmer. Once the ornaments had dried completely, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I die cut several Pointy Pine Sprigs dies from two different shades of green cardstock and then layered the pine sprigs and the baubles atop the watercolored background to create a “branch” filled with gorgeous greenery and Christmas cheer!

After I had finished adhering the baubles and greenery to the card front, I heat embossed a greeting from the Season of Magic onto some more Distress watercolor paper using the same gold embossing powder. I die cut the finished sentiment with it’s coordinating die, then popped it up on the card front with a double layer of thin foam adhesive squares. The final finishing touch was a trio of Gold Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to add extra festive sparkle to the card!

Well, that’s all for my project today! As a reminder: these limited edition STAMPtember collaboration sets are not going to be restocked, so if you have your eyes on one, don’t let it slip away! You’ll be sad to have missed out! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Hi friends! The new Simon Says Stamp May 2026 Card Kit of the Month, called Long Stem Florals, has been revealed (click HERE to check it out!), and it’s so, so pretty! Filled with a sketchy floral stamp set, artistic coloring stencils, a unique new nesting tag shape die, gorgeous floral papers and rub ons, and lots of unique ephemera to allow you to create a plethora of unique cards. Here’s a peek at the contents of the kit:

These kits are always incredible value; the individual components of this kit retail for over $80, but you can preorder this kit for only $44.99! You can save even more by becoming a kit subscriber (click HERE to see the subscription details!). If you love receiving this type of curated kit filled to the brim with goodies to make your cardmaking even more simplified and enjoyable, you definitely want to hit that subscribe button!

I created a trio of pretty cards using several of the elements from the kit, focusing on those magnificent patterned papers and rub-ons included with the kit. Let’s get started with the details on my projects!

Whenever I am working with a new kit, I closely examine the patterned papers included with the kit, which frequently gives me tons of inspiration. My carpal tunnel doesn’t love fussy cutting, but my creative heart loves the effect of making these beautiful images from the patterned papers pop! I selected some of the gorgeous, larger-scale floral images and butterflies from the patterned papers and the rub-ons included with the kit and began cutting them out with my sharp scissors, creating a little pile of ephemera that I could use to put together these pretty cards and tag.

The first project featured the unique new Squoval Tag dies. I die cut the tag shape from the included sheet of Ivory cardstock, then layered some coordinating fussy cut ephemera, including the printed library card image, some extra butterflies, and a simple bubble hello, also cut from one of the patterned paper panels! I adhered each piece with some foam adhesive, doubling up on the sentiment to help it pop from the background. Finally, I added a few Black Pawsitively Dazzling Gems and a black cord loop to make a simple gift embellishment!

My next project features the pretty pink patterned papers and Apricot cardstock. I trimmed down one of the panels of cardstock and centered it on an A2 panel of Apricot cardstock from the kit. I also added some transitional strips of peachy foil cardstock, also included in the kit, which helps the eye transition from the busy patterned paper to the softer peach cardstock. I layered one of the Tim Holtz Deco Frames from the kit off to the side, then popped up a fussy cut floral bouquet in the center. I also used the included rub-ons to add some more accents, including some hearts, a butterfly, and a little label upon which I could place my stamped sentiment from the Long Stem Florals stamp set, stamped with black ink and heat embossed with clear powder to make it nice and crisp. I added a black cord bow and some more Black Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for a little added texture and shine!

For my final project, I went back to my shabby chic roots (I was obsessed with all things shabby chic when I first began making cards!) and used this gorgeous ivory rose bouquet as the focal point for my final project. I splattered the A2 Ivory cardstock panel with some platinum glitter watercolors, then popped up the bouquet on the card front using thin foam adhesive squares. I added a fussy cut butterfly and sentiment cut from the patterned papers, popping them up with a double layer of thin foam adhesive for extra height. I absolutely love the delicate little Heirloom Roses from Tim Holtz that are included with the kit, so I tied a fluffy white seam binding bow and adhered it to my bouquet with my hot glue gun, adorning it with one of the ivory Heirloom Roses. Finally, I added a touch more sparkle with some Gold Pawsitively Dazzling Gems!

Well, that’s all for my projects today!

The Simon Says Stamp Card Kits are such an incredible value; the value of the individual elements of each kit equals far more than the $44.99 price tag, so you’re getting incredible bang for your buck. If you are consistently interested in the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month, you can sign up HERE to become a subscriber for an even bigger discount on these carefully curated products. Snowy Poinsettias with New Simon Says Stamp DieCember Goodies + Free Gift With Purchase!

December 4, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! Have you checked out the absolutely incredible Simon Says Stamp DieCember release? It’s absolutely filled to the brim with that most versatile of products: standalone dies! (Click HERE to see all of the fun goodies!) Not only do we have masses of fun new dies to play with, but we also have some super fun new embossing folders, including the truly stunning new Blooming Poinsettia 3D Embossing Folder and coordinating die! I am a sucker for these floral and botanical embossing folders, filled with exquisite details and texture that take a card from wow to WOW so easily. Let’s get started with the details on my project for today! (Keep reading all the way to the bottom to see information and inspiration with the Tim Holtz Freebie!)

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I ran a panel of white cardstock through my die cutting machine using the new Blooming Poinsettia embossing folder. I wanted the holiday bouquet to be a bit offset, rather that smack in the center of my card, so I placed my cardstock slightly farther to the side within the folder so that the poinsettia was nestled in the corner. Once I had added the detailed and textured embossed image, I used my OLO Markers to add some super vibrant red and teal to the images embossed into the card. I just love how much the alcohol marker coloring enhances the details on these cards!

After I had finished coloring the images, I wanted to add some extra wintry details and enhance the white background. I used blending brushes to blend first Aegean Pawsitively Saturated Ink as close as I could get it to the colored bouquet, blending lightly the closer I got to the bouquet so as not to cause muddiness on the vivid red poinsettia. I added some Pine Pawsitively Saturated Ink around the very edge of the card, creating a super vibrant ombré that perfectly matched the greens and blues in my colored bouquet! I splattered some Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect White Splatter Medium on the blended edges, then used Distress Opaque Texture Paste and Multi Medium Matte to add snowy Rock Candy Glitter to the poinsettia bloom.

For the greeting, I embossed the new multi-sentiment EZ Strips Christmas onto some deep red cardstock using white embossing powder, then die cut all of the sentiments in one fell swoop using the new EZ Strips Slanted Rectangles, saving the rest of the sentiments for a rainy day! I also die cut the new Warm Wishes Medley Script, cutting the detail layer from some sparkling Simon Says Stamp Crimson Glitter cardstock and the shadow layer from vellum. I popped up the sentiment die cuts on the card front with foam adhesive squares, then tucked a red twine bow beneath the sentiments and added a few Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for additional sparkle!

Now for some fun freebie information! To celebrate DieCember, Simon Says Stamp is offering a super fun freebie from Tim Holtz valued at $30 with any $30 Tim Holtz purchase! Check out All Things Tim Holtz!

I used the new Snowflake Rosette die freebie to create two different projects: a silvery gift tag/ornament and a gift box! The three dimensional finished product is perfect for non-card projects like these; the gorgeous snowflake makes the gift box and tag extra special and unique, I think! Simply die cut 3-4 of the Snowflake Rosette dies (depending on how tightly you want your snowflake rosette to be put together) and use either strong double sided tape or hot glue, as I did, to assemble them!

I mounted my Snowflake Rosette on a silver pearl Hexagon die cut, adding silver glitter accents and lots of Clear Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for added sparkle! This would be so pretty adorning a package or even on a Christmas tree!

For the gift box, I die cut four of the Snowflake Rosette die cuts from white pearl paper and adhered them together with my glue gun to create the snowflake.

To increase the fancy factor for the box, I used pale blue paint to add color to a small papier mâche box that I found at the dollar store, adding some silvery snowflakes to the bottom portion of the box with a silver paint pen. I also added a velvet ribbon around the edge of the box top and some extra gems on the edges for additional sparkle. Wouldn’t this make such a pretty gift box for some jewelry or a even just a gift card? So fun personalizing gift wrap like this!

You can receive this fabulous Snowflake Rosette die (a $30 value!) for free with any Tim Holtz purchase of $30 or more! You can click HERE to see all of the items included in this gift-with-purchase sale. Some of my favorites: Rock Candy Glitter, Velvet Trims, Multi Medium Matte, and Distress Re-inkers for watercoloring!

Well, that’s all for me today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for Day 1 of the two-day DieCember Blog Hop that is sure to have tons of inspiration, prizes, and possibly a fun freebie! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and Happy DieCember!

More Simon Says Stamp Bright Christmas Card Kit!

November 15, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I am back with some more inspiration using the beautiful new Bright Christmas Card Kit of the Month from Simon Says Stamp! (Click HERE to see the full kit!) These kits always come filled with supplies to create tons of projects, from patterned papers, stamps and dies, cardstock, and embellishments! I love creating coordinating gift sets, and who doesn’t love a coordinating card and tag gift set at Christmas? Giving something handmade that the recipient can put to good use is such a fulfilling way to use our supplies! Let’s get started with the details on my projects.

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

For today’s project suite, I filled a glassine bag with a group of gift tags, a gift card envelope, and a simple-but-elegant coordinating A2 card, embellishing the bag with some vibrant red cardstock and the beautiful linocut illustrations in the card kit!

To create my cigar band for the gift bag, I used a strip of red 12×12 cardstock, folding it over the folded bag and connecting the ends with one of the linocut images, stamped on Simon Says Stamp Ivory Cardstock with Kale Pawsitively Saturated Ink. To make this cigar band a touch more festive, I added some Distress Medium Matte and Rock Candy Glitter to the tops of the trees and the roofs of the houses, then adhered a red satin bow with my glue gun!

For the coordinating card, I stamped the gorgeous deer image from the Bright Christmas set again using Kale ink, trimming the edges down and mounting it on a slightly larger panel of red cardstock, creating a crisp red mat. I also stamped some of the individual sentiments on a separate strip of Ivory cardstock, trimming them down and mounting them on another, slightly larger strip of red cardstock. I popped both of these red framed stamped images up on my A2 Ivory card base, then added a touch of whimsy and texture with a red hemp twine bow on the deer’s neck! A simple, elegant card that was super simple to make and simple to mail!

For the hang tags, I used my trimmer to trim down the Emerald cardstock to 3″ x 6″ strips, folding them in half to create square tags. I used my hole punch to add some small holes in the corner, then threaded some loops of red twine through. I used the included cardstock stickers and patterned papers to add simple embellishments to the front of the tags! These simple tags add just a touch of handmade affection to your gifts without taking up a ton of your time! It makes my heart hurt a bit to see tags upon which I’ve worked painstakingly tossed in the trash, so it makes me feel better to make such quick work of these tags with the help of the patterned papers and cardstock stickers!

Finally, I used the marvelous new Pine and Post Gift Card Envelope die set included in the kit with some patterned paper, twine, an eyelet, and a cardstock sticker to create a fun coordinating gift card holder! I die cut the envelope from some green plaid patterned paper, then assembled the envelope and adhered the flaps with strong double sided tape. I added one of the cardstock stickers that reminds me of vintage gift tags as the perfect spot for the gift-giver to write their to/from information!

To keep the gift card safely tucked inside the envelope, I used one of Simon Says Stamp’s newer Antique Brass Eyelets to add some red twine, which I wrapped around the envelope twice before tying in a pretty bow!

Well, that’s all for my projects today! I loved this month’s Card Kit so much that I created two different suites of coordinating projects, perfect for gift-giving! It’s such a joy to give handmade gifts, and these card kits make it super easy to create coordinating gifts, tags, and cards with the gorgeous goodies included in the kit.

As always, Simon also makes each individual element of the kits available a la carte, so that you can pick and choose what you would like to purchase if buying the entire kit isn’t really your thing. Who can say no to such incredible value though, right?

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Tim Holtz Collaboration: Festive Holidays!

September 5, 2025

Hi friends! Exciting STAMPtember news hot off the presses: the perennially amazing Tim Holtz has partnered with Simon Says Stamp to not only release exceptional STAMPtember collaboration goodies, but they are part of the kit that will be used in an exclusive Tim Holtz STAMPtember workshop! Click HERE to see all of the details!

If you are new to STAMPtember from Simon Says Stamp, throughout the month of September, Simon Says Stamp will have exclusive collaborations with some of our favorite stamping companies, releasing a limited edition stamp set designed in collaboration with a different company nearly every day! (Click HERE to see the Collaboration Sets page, and be sure to bookmark it!)

I have created several projects using these gorgeous new Festive Holidays products, so let’s get started with a quick rundown on each!

For my first projects, I decided to create a watercolored card and coordinating tag set using the new Festive Watercolor images, Festive Tags, Festive Words, and Festive Sentiments from the kit with some of my favorite Distress Ink pinks: Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy, and Worn Lipstick.

I stamped the floral images from Festive Watercolor onto some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper using Distress Tattered Rose. I then tapped Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy, and Worn Lipstick out onto my glass craft mat and picked up the color with my damp paintbrush, taking advantage of the water-based inks to create several beautiful watercolored blooms. I also stamped the greenery with Shabby Shutters, enhancing the images with some shadows painted on with Rustic Wildnerness Distress Ink. After I had finished painting, I die cut each image with it’s coordinating die.

I created a background with one of my new favorite techniques: ink swiping! I simply swiped the same pink Distress Inks on a panel of white cardstock, using a circular motion to blend the colors seamlessly. I splattered the background with gold shimmer watercolors as a nod to the mixed media king himself, then arranged all of the die cuts in a bouquet with foam adhesive, adding a gold and vellum die cut “Joy” greeting from the new Festive Words dies. I added some shimmering gems and topped everything off with a coordinating blush twine bow!

Using Tattered Rose Distress Ink as my main color, I created a coordinating gift tag, this time using gold embossing powder to add some truly luxurious gold shimmer to the project. I die cut a Festive Tags die from some Simon Says Stamp 120 lb Ultra Thick Card Stock, then swiped my Tattered Rose ink pad directly on the die cut tag, enhancing the gorgeous debossed lines around the edges of the die cut with a gold paint pen to create an elegant gilded frame around the edges. I splattered some more gold glitter watercolors on the delicate pink tag.

To adorn the pretty pink tag, I stamped some flowers and foliage using embossing ink, then added some gold embossing powder. Once I had melted the embossing powder, I die cut the finished images, and to add a little color, I swiped the Tattered Rose ink directly on the die cuts. Due to the resistant nature of the embossing, the color adhered to the white edges of the die cuts, creating solid, colorful images. I repeated the process with a couple of the sentiment stamps from the Festive Words, swiping Saltwater Taffy over the finished die cut. A glittery die cut hole reinforcer and some beautiful pink twine finished the tag off!

I couldn’t resist some gorgeous decor with the large scale images and Festive Words, so I die cut the gorgeous Peace word die from some Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft Stock, backing it with the die cut shadow cut from some pearlescent vellum. To create some fabulous, icy inspiration, I used Speckled Egg, Weathered Wood, and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks (so vibrant, but also so soft and velvety stamped on white cardstock!) to create a gorgeous floral background.

I also stamped some individual images from Festive Watercolor using the same ink colors, die cutting the images with their coordinating dies. I splattered the background with some sparkling watercolors (more hat tip to Tim the Mixed Media Master!), then arranged the die cuts on the 4×6 panel. I adhered the 4×6 panel to an inexpensive little easel frame that I purchased at the dollar store. Such a great way to create some pretty home decor using lots of the supplies that you already have! Finally, I added a few coordinating pearls, as well as twine and velvet bows.

One last project using the Festive Watercolor set! I customized this tiny wooden birdhouse that I found at my local dollar store, first by painting the entire birdhouse with some crisp white chalk paint. To make it pretty, I used some metallic pigment ink to stamp the images all over the birdhouse; the pigment ink stamps beautifully on the chalk paint. Stamping isn’t just for paper!!

I used some acrylic paints to enhance the stamped Festive Watercolor images, painting directly over the floral stamped images with metallic rose gold acrylic paint and some muted sage green for the foliage. I am obsessed with how beautifully this turned out!

Once my painted birdhouse had completely dried, I used a palette knife to add some chunky texture paste “snow drifts”, sprinkling the new Tim Holtz Chunky Rock Candy Glitter on the wet texture paste. I also applied some Collage Medium around the edges of the texture paste, adding some of the Fine Rock Candy Glitter, creating icy snow drifts and encrusting this pretty bird house with sparkling, icy glitter.

If you haven’t seen the LIVE, (click HERE to see!) Tim Holtz has shared a ton of different pieces of inspiration using the images that I used above. There is an unbelievable kit available filled with every single stamp and die set, as well as tons of other goodies, that is going to be used during the upcoming Technique Class on 9/28/25, shared on YouTube. The stamps and dies are going to also be available individually if you would prefer one or the other, and I’ll have them linked below, but the value of the kit (priced at $99.99) is more than two times than the purchase price. Incredible, incredible value!!!

However, just like all STAMPtember collaboration sets…. it’s limited edition. Don’t wait. Seriously… don’t wait. This is going to sell out ASAP.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy STAMPtember!!
