Hi friends! There was a nip in the air this morning, so I thought I’d share a holiday card with you today using new goodies from the Simon Says Stamp-branded STAMPtember collection (check it out HERE). This huge collection of crafty goodies features such a large variety of products that you can start working on your holiday cards while also working on summer and fall projects too! For today’s project, I chose to go bold with vibrant cool colors, lots of sparkle, and some dimension… all made with die cuts! Let’s get started with the details on my project.

To begin, I die cut the gorgeous new Stained Glass Snowflake from some brushed blue foil cardstock from my stash. This matte cardstock adds such a gorgeous luster and luxury to the card. I also used a scrap of purple glitter cardstock to cut the center snowflake pieces from the Stained Glass Snowflake, reserving them so that I could inlay them on the finished card front.

For the card front, I cut an A2 panel of plummy purple cardstock, then used a Shading Brush to blend Crocus Pawsitively Saturated Ink around the edges, pulling in that cool blurple to coordinate beautifully with the blue foil and purple glitter die cuts. Once I had finished blending around the edges, I used liquid adhesive to add the blue frame to the card front, then inlaid the purple glitter die cuts in their appropriate spot within the center snowflake.

For the greeting, I die cut the new Timeless Peace On Earth three times: once from holographic mirror cardstock and twice more from scrap white cardstock. I layered all three die cuts together using liquid adhesive, creating a dimensional die cut sentiment, then placed it in the center of the snowflake. Finally, I accented the corners and tips of the snowflake by adhering some super sparkly Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems on the card front, increasing the festive factor and texture!
Well, that’s all for my project today! I haven’t quite gotten in the holiday spirit yet; it’s hard to do when the temperatures are so high… but I see it peeking around the corner and know that holiday crafting is near!! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
