Good morning! Have you seen the new Ellen Hutson release? It’s absolutely fantasmagorical! There are rainbows, unicorns, mermaids… something for everyone, in my opinion. I’ve created two cards using the new Unicorns ‘n Rainbows stamp and die set. Let’s get started on the details!
For my first project, I wanted something super clean and simple with just a pop of color. I stamped the unicorn head from Unicorns ‘n Rainbows and colored it with bright pink Copics and added some shimmer marker. I also die cut an octagonal frame from a panel of white card stock, then popped everything up. I added a stamped sentiment from Pure Magic. I love that “go forth and be fabulous” sentiment!! So many cute sentiments in the Pure Magic set.
For my second card, I decided to take it to another level. I will admit that I struggle a little with cute cards… I’m much more comfortable with flowers. But I had SO much fun with this card!
I started by doing some Oxide blending on two different A2 panels using Picked Raspberries, Shaded Lilac, and Peacock Feathers. I die cut several clouds, a rainbow, and the unicorn from Unicorns ‘n Rainbows and stamped them using Copic-friendly black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and added quite a bit of shimmer pen to the rainbow, clouds, and unicorn.
I die cut an oval from one of the panels using the Hero Arts Infinity Oval dies, then backed it with acetate and added foam tape. After I had arranged my die cuts on the front of the card, I used my MISTI to determine the placement for my greeting. I heat embossed a greeting from Pure Magic using white embossing powder. I added some sequins, then adhered it to the full blended panel.
Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you will check out the adorable new stamps from this latest release. Have a marvelous day, friends!
