Good morning! Today, I am honored to take part in the December 2018 Altenew Stamp and Die release blog hop! Altenew has another stunning stamp and die release, filled with beautiful florals, gorgeous sentiments, and even some new patterned paper! You should have arrived here from Svitlana Shayevich’s blog and your next stop is Lilith Eeckels‘s blog. You can always start at the Altenew Card Blog if you get lost! Make sure you read all the way to the end for the giveaway information!

For my first project, I wanted to do something unique and fun with the beautiful new Mega Greetings 3 and the coordinating Mega Friend die. I began by playing with my alcohol inks in shades of peach, coral, and rose gold on some Yupo vellum paper. While that was drying, I die cut the Mega Friend die from some rose gold glitter paper and heat embossed the coordinating sentiment from Mega Greetings 3 using Rose Gold embossing powder.

Once my vellum alcohol ink panel was dry, I mounted it to a panel of pale pink card stock, which allowed some of the pretty peachy pink color to show through the background. I added the die cut greeting and sentiment strip, then added some rose gold jewels to finish it off.

For my next project, I used the beautiful new Ruffled Flowers stamp and die set. The florals in this stamp set are just beautiful, simple but charming, and super easy to layer, especially when coupled with the handy dandy layering guides that Altenew now includes in the stamp packaging! (Seriously, those things are amazing!) I stamped the flowers using the Rose Petal, Shades of Purple, and Sea Shore ink sets.

After I had completed my stamping, I die cut a Tree Ring Die from white card stock, then arranged my florals on the Tree Ring die cut and mounted them onto my A2 card base using foam tape. I also added a greeting from Flower Arrangment die cut in black, and a few jewels to fill out the bare spots on the card front.

For this project, I used the gorgeous new Delicate Primrose stamp and die set. I love that so many of Altenew’s floral sets give you the option of using the layering stamps for a more graphic look as well as the outlines to get some coloring practice in! I chose to do some Copic coloring with this project, coloring the primroses a pretty shade of bluish purple, with dark gray leaves.

I also used one of the new Mega Greetings 3 for a sentiment strip coupled with the new Mega Friend die cut from some pretty charcoal glitter card stock. I wanted a bold background to go with my non-traditional color choices, so I chose a piece of deep magenta card stock, then spritzed it with some Iridescent Shimmer Spray over the Elegant Swirls stencil. A few gems here and there added some more texture and sparkle to the card front.

For my final project today, I wanted to do some no-line watercoloring with the gorgeous new Wispy Begonia stamp and die set. I began by stamping the main floral image twice, some foliage, and some little filler flowers from Focus On You onto some Arches Cold Press watercolor paper using Ink On 3 fadeout ink, then watercoloring them using my Daniel Smith watercolors.

For my card base, I masked off the edges of some white card stock using painter’s tape, then blended Coral Bliss ink using the Life Changing Blender Brushes, concentrating the color towards the edges of the open section, leaving the very center white. I stamped a greeting from Wispy Begonia using Jet Black ink, then arranged my little floral bouquet and adhered it using foam tape. The final touch was to add some jewels.
