Oh Happy Day Teacher’s Thank You with Simon Says Stamp!

Hi friends! Remember THIS card? I used the Happy Rainbow stencil set to create a rainbow image large enough to make two card fronts, and I have the second one to share with you today! I love a good two-fer! For the previous card, I did some fussy cutting, some die cutting, and added a quick sentiment. Today’s card is a fun and festive shaker card using the remaining A2 rainbow panel, perfect for celebrating the end of another school year. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

To start, I used Pawsitively Saturated Inks in shades of Apple, Cantaloupe, Melon, Butter, Dublin, Cadette, Clematis with blending brushes to blend the Happy Rainbow stencil. I used my Stencil Station (a Craft Tacky Mat placed on a Magnetic Glass Mat, the combination of which holds my cardstock in place securely with the heavy glass mat while the Craft Tacky Mat keeps my stencil in the right spot on my cardstock!) After I had blended all of the pretty ROY G BIV colors on my cardstock panel, I used Rainbow Splash Black ink to add the stenciled boho details to the rainbow. I love the sharp contrast between the vibrant colors and the crisp black details!!

Once I had finished blending the stenciled images, I cut the panel in half to create the two A2 card fronts. For this shaker card, I used some leftover stamp packaging and Tear-rific Tape to create a flat shaker pocket, which I filled with tiny iridescent sequins and delicate silver star sequins.

For the greeting, I used the older Oh Happy Day as my sentiment focal point, cutting the detail layer from So Very Black cardstock and the shadow from vellum, layering the two together with liquid adhesive. I popped it up on the front of the shaker panel using thin strips of foam adhesive, then tucked a sentiment strip from Back to School beneath the die cut greeting, again using foam adhesive. Finally, I tucked a silver cord bow next to the die cut greeting, adding a touch more texture and shine to the card!

Well, that’s all for my project today! Don’t you just love when you can use one stenciled image to create two different projects? It makes me feel so efficient and organized, ha! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

More Darling Duckies with Simon Says Stamp + Memorial Day SALE!

May 21, 2026

Hi friends! I am back with another Darling Duckies card, this time featuring only the stencils and a few other fun products that I used to create this sweet shaker card, perfect for a birthday for a little one! Make Way for Ducklings has always been one of my favorite books from childhood, and creating bunches of fluffy little yellow ducklings with the fun duckie products from Simon Says Stamp is super fun. Yesterday’s project (click HERE to see it!) was perfect for a baby card (boy or girl as ducks are fairly gender-neutral imagery!), so today I thought I’d create a birthday card for a little one. And what kiddo could resist a shaker card?? Let’s get started with the details on my project!

To begin, I used blending brushes to blend Butter and Cantaloupe Pawsitively Saturated Ink over the the Darling Duckies Stencils on a panel of 3.75″ x 5″ white cardstock. I used my Stencil Station to make for super quick and easy stenciling! After I had finished blending all of the layers, I used some leftover stamp packaging to construct a clear pocket to create my shaker card. I filled the shaker pouch with gorgeous Golden Hour Embellishment Mix and placed it in the center of a full sized A2 card base, leaving a white frame around the exterior edge.

I had a mild love affair with the adorable Cute Duckling die set when it was released, and to my delight, it matched beautifully with the Darling Duckies Stencils! I die cut one of the Cute Duckling dies from white cardstock, then used my OLO Markers to add shadows and shape to the flat die cut. I think it looks so darn cute!! I also stamped and die cut a couple of greetings from Birthday Basics, stamping the sentiments using Nocturne pigment ink, then adding clear embossing powder over the top to make the lines super crisp and vibrant, then die cut them with their coordinating dies.

After I had created all of the components for the card, I trimmed a rectangle of vellum down to fit just across the stenciled shaker panel, then layered my duckie and sentiment die cuts over the top of the vellum. This semi-opaque cardstock creates a bit of a visual barrier from the busy background without adding more visual weight to the card. I adhered the die cuts with thin foam adhesive squares, then flipped the vellum piece over and added more thin foam adhesive behind the solid die cuts so that they were hidden behind the die cuts and didn’t show through the vellum. I placed the vellum piece on the card front, then added an Iridescent White Cord bow beneath the die cuts to add a bit more texture and whimsy!

Well, that’s all for my project today! Isn’t it just darling? How sweet would it be for a first or second birthday party?

A Double Leftovers Card Set with New Simon Says Stamp Stencils and Dies!

April 17, 2026

Hi friends! I am back with another post for my Use Your Leftovers focus week! (My husband very generously shared some stomach flu germs with me, so it feels like ages since I’ve posted, but I guess it’s only been two days? Ha-time moves slower than molasses in January when you’re sick to your stomach!) The beautiful new Friendly Blossoms stencil and die duo are such a unique concept: stencils that create a complete A2 patterned panel, customizable to your own color preferences of course, and coordinating dies that also add fabulous debossed texture to the die cuts! I stenciled three complete panels in order to create this two-fer with tons of dimension and shaky bits. Let’s get started with the details on my projects!

For both projects, the main ingredient is the Friendly Blossoms stencil and die set, as well as the gorgeous and serene Pawsitively Saturated Inks trio in Dew, Mist, and Raindrop. These bold, graphic blooms work perfectly with this non-traditional color palette. I kept the colors simple, because the techniques and die cutting were going to be the star of these cards. As I mentioned, I created three separate, full sized A2 panels from these layered stencils, blending the images with soft strokes to keep the color palette tranquil. I used my “stencil station” to create these lickety split; the Craft Tacky Mat keeps things in place so perfectly while I do my stenciling!

For my first project, I wanted to create a shaker card out of the negative space left from die cutting the blooms from the Friendly Blossoms stencil images. Using low-tack tape to hold my dies in place, I carefully die cut the stenciled images from one of the stenciled panels, reserving the actual die cuts themselves for the next project. I backed the resulting window panel with clear acetate, then carefully added a continuous thin strip of foam adhesive around the edges of the openings to be able to create my shaker windows. I flipped the resulting panel over and filled the openings with Mist Sequins Mix before adhering one of the remaining stenciled panels to the back, making sure that the flowers were lined up to their coordinating openings as closely as possible.

After I had finished creating and filling my shaker background, I selected a larger scale sentiment set to create a bold sentiment. I die cut the detail layer of the Be Patient die set using coordinating teal glitter cardstock, backing it with a vellum shadow layer. I also stamped a coordinating greeting from the Be Patient stamp set using Raindrop ink on a thin strip of white cardstock. I popped up both of the sentiment pieces with thin foam adhesive squares, then added an Iridescent White Cord bow for a touch more texture! Such a fun shaker card, I think.

My second card uses the leftovers from the die cut windows! I added foam adhesive to these die cut and debossed images, then placed them in their appropriate spot on the final finished A2 stenciled panel. I love how that little bit of debossing and tiny pop of foam adhesive really makes such an impact on the card front! Can’t let such pretty leftovers go to waste, right?

For the greeting, I die cut the detail layer of the “Cheering you on” die set from some more teal glitter cardstock, backing it with a vellum shadow layer. I stamped a greeting from the Cheering stamp set, again with Raindrop ink, and popped both pieces up on the panel using foam adhesive, creating a double layer for the strip and single layer for the die cut sentiment so that they would pop beautifully from the floral background. Finally, I added a trio of Surf Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for another pop of sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my projects today! These “use your leftovers” cards are so fun and definitely kindling my creativity. I hope you’re enjoying them! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Lavender Blue With Love Using New Simon Says Stamp!

March 26, 2026

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon! *I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

Hi friends! I have another project to share with you using new goodies from the In My Heart release! (Click HERE to see the entire new release!) Simon Says Stamp came out with some beautiful stencils with this release, including the new Impressionistic Flower. This oversized flower image creates a beautiful focal point for a card with a small amount of effort. I paired it with some gorgeous blurple inks, creating this lavender blue bloom. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

To begin, I placed an A2 panel of white cardstock on my stencil station (a Simon Says Stamp Magnetic Glass Mat on which I have placed a Simon Says Stamp Craft Tacky Mat, which I keep set up and ready to go on my desk to make for quick stenciling!), then began blending the layers of the Impressionistic Flower stencil set using Pawsitively Saturated Inks in shades of Periwinkle, Crocus, Clematis, Galaxy. Once I had finished blending all of the layers, I used the coordinating die to die cut the finished image. I love that the coordinating die comes with a sentiment die, as well! More bang for your buck. I, unfortunately, dropped my detail sentiment die under my desk and have yet to locate it… I know my fellow crafters will know that feeling!

I wanted some delicate texture behind my bold floral image, so I placed another panel of white A2 cardstock on my stencil station and then placed the new Big Basketweave stencil over the top. I used a blending brush to lightly blend Periwinkle ink in the bottom left corner of my panel, gently fading out towards the opposite corner and top. I used some pretty metallic watercolors to splatter extra sparkle on the stenciled background, as well, creating some whimsical texture behind the whimsical flower.

After I had completed the background, I adhered the large stenciled floral die cut to the panel, offsetting it slightly and trimming off the overhang with my sharp scissors. I then die cut the previously-released With Love die, cutting the detail layer from some periwinkle foil cardstock from my stash and the shadow layer from vellum, adhering the two layers together with liquid adhesive. I added some foam adhesive behind the solid die cut and placed it over the floral die cut. I also die cut the new EZ Strips Mom using EZ Strips Banners, which die cuts a ton of sentiments in one fell swoop. I selected one and set the rest aside for a rainy day! I nestled the strip beneath the die cut sentiment, then added an Iridescent White Cord bow beneath it. Finally, I created a flower center with several Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems in all three sizes, then added a few in the blank spaces on the card background, adding lots of sparkle to my card!

Well, that’s all for my project today! I love a card created with simple stenciling, made more impactful with small details and textures. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Collaboration 9/25/25: Pinkfresh Studio!

September 25, 2025

Hi friends! I am back with another STAMPtember collaboration project, this time featuring one of my all-time favorite brands: Pinkfresh Studio! (You can see all of their products in the Simon Says Stamp store HERE.) Today’s collaboration set, called Every Lovely Reason, features not only a stamp and die set, but you can also purchase Pinkfresh Studio’s signature coordinating layered stencil designs to make your projects come together lickety split! (Check out the full product suite HERE.) Pinkfresh Studio also has some of the most luscious ink colors in the industry, so I chose my favorite set of blue inks and got to work creating this blue-tiful card. Let’s get started with the details!

If you are new to STAMPtember from Simon Says Stamp, throughout the month of September, Simon Says Stamp will have exclusive collaborations with some of our favorite stamping companies, releasing an exclusive, limited edition stamp set designed in collaboration with a different company nearly every day! (Click HERE to see the Collaboration Sets page, and be sure to bookmark it!)

To begin, I stamped the large floral frame from the Pinkfresh Studio STAMPtember collaboration Every Lovely Reason set onto some white cardstock using Pinkfresh Studio’s Slumber ink. This mid-blue ink is the most stunning shade of blue, cool and lush and elegant. I stamped directly over the top of the floral frame image with embossing ink, then added my favorite Iridescent Blue embossing powder from Hero Arts to add exquisite shimmer and iridescent shine to the lines of the image. Because I wanted to create a tone-on-tone monochromatic project, I used one of Pinkfresh Studio’s fabulous 1″ blender brushes to lightly blend Slumber ink over the entirety of the image so that the white outlines of the die cut image would match the blue background panel that I had in my mind’s eye.

Once I had finished stamping and embossing the main image, I placed the panel on my stencil station, comprising of a glass magnetic mat and Craft Tacky Mat from Simon Says Stamp. This combination allows me to be ready to stencil at a moment’s notice, holding my cardstock and stencils down effortlessly! I arranged each stencil over my embossed floral frame, then blended Slumber, Blue Jay, and Sapphire inks using the 1″ blender brushes, creating a gorgeous monochromatic floral frame. After I had finished stenciling, I used the coordinating die to die cut the finished frame.

To create the background, I used the large 1″ blending brushes (if you struggle with smooth blends, these brushes are the answer! So soft and so worth the investment!) from Pinkfresh Studio to blend the same shades of blue ink on my A2 card front. I created a blue haze all over the card front, then concentrated a bit more of the Blue Jay and Sapphire inks on the top right corner, with the intention of creating a visual cascade on the card front. I splattered the blended background with some iridescent watercolors, then arranged my stenciled floral frame on the card front, turning it 90* so that it hung off of the long side slightly and trimmed the excess. I popped up the frame with foam adhesive, then added a greeting from Every Lovely Reason with a double layer of foam adhesive to help it pop from the background. I tucked a bow tied using Iridescent Cord next to the greeting for added texture and added a few Prism Pawsitively Dazzling gems for additional sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my project today! If you love the STAMPtember Collaboration Sets, don’t wait to purchase them, because these limited edition sets will NOT be restocked. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! (Click HERE to see the Collaboration Sets page, and be sure to bookmark it!) Each day holds new surprises, so be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp social media at noon ET every day throughout STAMPtember so that you don’t miss out. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy STAMPtember!!!
