Tropical Sunset Blend with New Keep Palm from Simon Says Stamp!

Hi friends! The kids and I had our first afternoon at the pool this summer, and coupled with the sultry, humid temperatures we’ve recently developed, I am definitely in a summertime mood! When I was designing the new Keep Palm stamp set for the Always There release, (click HERE to see the entire collection) I wanted to create a floral border that would fill up most of a card front and had enough detail that you could spend lots of time coloring the images or do some simple stamping and ink blending to create vibrant tropical backgrounds. I used tropical inks from the super juicy Pawsitively Saturated Ink lineup with some crisp black embossed images to create this vibrant project. Let’s get started with the details on my card!

To begin, I stamped the floral frame image from Keep Palm onto some plain white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp’s Nocturne Black Pigment Ink. I added some clear embossing powder over the top of the sticky black ink and heated it up, creating the perfect canvas for the emboss/resist technique!

After I had completed the heat embossing, I selected some vibrant, almost neon, shades of ink from the Pawsitively Saturated Ink lineup, selecting Apple, Coral, Peachy, Lemonade, and Limelicious inks, then blending them in ROY G BIV order to create this vivid sunset background. I love how smoothly the colors blend into one another, creating a seamless transition from one to the next! Once I had finished blending, I used a sparkle pen to add some pretty shimmer to the flowers. It’s so hard to capture that shimmer in photographs, but in real life the sparkle is gorgeous!

After I had finished the main card front, I trimmed it down so that I could place it in the center of a full sized A2 card base created using So Very Black cardstock. This crisp black frame works nicely to emphasize the crisp black embossed lines of the stamped image. For the greeting, I selected a sentiment from the Keep Palm set, embossing it on more So Very Black cardstock using white pigment ink and white embossing powder for a crisp sentiment on the black backdrop. I die cut the sentiment with it’s coordinating die, then placed it in the center of my floral frame with some thin foam adhesive. Finally, I added a black twine bow and some Black Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for a few more black accents and sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my project today! Every time I design a stamp set, I do my best to create images that are both fun to color and easy to use for those not inclined to color. You can do so many different techniques with a detailed floral image like this, and I think blending those tropical colors over the black embossed lines sets them off beautifully! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Let Us Adore Him with Nordic Inspiration from Simon Says Stamp!

November 12, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! My husband and I are currently working on remodeling his grandfather’s house to make it better fit our family, and while perusing Pinterest for design ideas, I have noticed that blue and white is having a renaissance in the design world. That most classic of color palettes is everywhere, from detailed illustrations on dishes to chintzy armchairs, vases, and curtains to Christmas decor! I decided to apply that gorgeous color palette to the Nordic-inspired Christmas Angels Embossing Folder from the And Everything Nice release ((click HERE to see the entire release!) to create a classy and elegant, while also super quick to create, holiday card. Let’s get started with the details!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I ran an A2 panel of plain white cardstock through my die cutting machine using the new Christmas Angels embossing folder. The level of detail and intricacy on this folder is magnificent; it truly does so much of the design work for you! After embossing, I flipped my panel over so that the raised, embossed side was face down and the debossed side was facing me. I then swiped my Royal Pawsitively Saturated Ink pad directly on the card front, allowing those beautiful details to shine through in crisp white on a vibrant blue background using the “blackout technique.” Such a fun technique that creates unique, detailed, multi-colored backgrounds so quickly!

I love the font in the newer Let Us Adore Him die set, and thought it perfectly matched the elegant aesthetic on the religious imagery featured on the Christmas Angels embossing folder. I die cut the detail layer from Midnight Navy glitter cardstock from Pinkfresh Studio, then backed it with the vellum shadow layer. I die cut a pearly white tag image from the new Frames die set (this set is super verstaile and definitely worth the investement!) and placed the sentiment at a jaunty angle on the die cut.

Before adhering the die cut sentiment pieces, I trimmed down the panel 1/4″ on each side of the debossed background, keeping the main focal point centered nicely. It’s important to take a little off of each side due to the symmetry of the design. The images in the center will be slightly off if you aren’t careful!

I wanted a fluffy bow to accent the beautiful sentiment, so before I adhered the embossed panel, I wrapped a navy blue satin ribbon around the embossed panel. If you don’t want to have tons of individual shades of ribbon, you can easily create your own custom ribbon by using an alcohol marker on faux silk ribbon so that your bow perfectly matches your color palette! I mounted this panel on a full size A2 panel of Midnight Navy Glitter Cardstock from Pinkfresh Studio, centering it so that the background was surrounded by a glimmering frame. I added the greeting pieces, offsetting it slightly so that it hangs off of the side a touch, then tucked that shiny satin bow next to the sentiment. Finally, I added a few Clear Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for added sparkle!

This card does have a bit of heft to it, with that fluffy bow and sentiment hanging over the side, so I would recommend mailing it in a Simon Says Stamp Rigid Mailer or Bubble Envelope to keep it safe!

Well, that’s all for my project today! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

New Simon Says Stamp And Everything Nice Release-Now Available!

November 5, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! Tonight, Simon Says Stamp has released their newest collection, called And Everything Nice Release (click HERE to see the entire release!), filled to the brim with beautiful holiday stamps, dies, stencils, and embossing folders, as well as gorgeous new ink shades for the Pawsitively Saturated Ink line! I never tire of working with holiday product; I find it so inspiring, especially when the products can be used in tons of different techniques and with numerous mediums. I love a good pink moment when it comes to Christmas, and I find that pairing holiday imagery with lots of shimmer and shine keeps even the most unique color palette festive. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I used blending brushes to blend the brand new Pawsitively Saturated Ink Trio 36 on a panel of white A2 cardstock, covering the entirety of the cardstock with the lightest shade, then blending around the edges with the medium shade quite deep into the card front, then blending the darkest shade very lightly around the edges of the panel, creating a gorgeous pinky coral halo effect! I then ran the blended panel through my die cutting machine using the new Leafy Double Garland embossing folder, which adds the most beautiful botanical holiday background.

To embellish the embossed background, I swiped the Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink Pad over the raised areas, then used sparkly glitter watercolors to enhance the foliage and berries, finally splattering the entire card front with the sparkling, iridescent watercolors. I think the leaves and berries look like they’ve been frosted with ice!

For the greeting, I die cut the new Bouncy Happy Holidays, cutting the detail layer from some delightful iridescent pink mirror foil cardstock that I had in my stash, then cutting the solid shadow layer from vellum, adhering the detail layer to the vellum with liquid adhesive. This die cut greeting is such a generous size; it’s basically a focal point on its own!

I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with thin strips of foam adhesive, then die cut the older Budding Branches using pearlescent white cardstock. I tucked the branches of foliage behind the sentiment die cut, adhering them with foam tape as well, then added a few Peachy Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to act as berries. Finally, I tucked a peachy pink twine bow amongst the larger berry branch for one last touch of texture!

Well, that’s all for my project today! The And Everything Nice release has so many totally gorgeous products that are sure to jumpstart your holiday crafting. Be sure to check out the release page HERE. And don’t forget the fabulous blog hops happening on Friday and Saturday, filled with inspiration and prizes! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Vintage Christmas Baubles with Simon Says Stamp!

October 6, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! We’ve shifted fully into holiday mode here on my blog, and while there might be a few autumnal or regular projects on here, the next few months are going to be all Christmas, all the time!! I have tons of ideas and products to play with, so I hope you’re as ready for sparkles, baubles, greenery, and gingerbread as I am. I have a project featuring a gorgeous vintage bauble stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release, called Shiny Baubles. These vintage-style ornament stamps are super simple to layer in any color combination your heart desires, but I chose to work with a quintessentially vintage color palette: red, pink, and aqua! Let’s get started on the details for my project.

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

I began by stamping the vintage ornaments from Shiny Baubles using Pawsitively Saturated Inks in shades of Apple, Guava, and Cherry on Hammermill white cardstock, then using the metallic Lisa Horton Crafts Verdigris ink to stamp some aqua accents on the ornaments. This opaque metallic ink is so beautiful, and it adds just the right touch of shimmer to these holiday baubles. Shimmer and shine is a must on holiday projects, don’t you think? I also used the “rock ‘n roll” technique to add some extra shading on the sides of the ornaments, tapping my ink pads only on the edge of the stamp and blending the sharp edges off with touches of my microfiber cloth before stamping again using my MISTI.

For the card base, I wanted to create a glowing Christmas tree scene, so I pulled out the oldie-but-goodie Corner Pine Frame, which I die cut from Audrey Blue cardstock. I also used blending brushes to blend Guava and Cherry inks in the upper corner of my white A2 card front, creating a “glow” from holiday lights and adding some interest and contrast behind the pine boughs. I adhered the cover plate die cut to the blended card front with liquid adhesive, then arranged the baubles amongst the boughs and added a couple of standalone boughs to fill things in a bit more, creating a lush focal point.

For the greeting, I stamped the simple “Joy to the world” sentiment from the Shiny Baubles set using the Verdigris ink, then trimmed it down to a simple square using my trimmer and popped it up with foam adhesive squares. Finally, I added some silver glitter die cut ornament toppers using the coordinating Shiny Baubles dies and some Surf Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to make things extra glam and festive!

Well, that’s all for my project today! Christmas crafting definitely brings joy to my world… I hope it brings joy to your world, too! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Happy Birthday Shaker with New Simon Says Stamp!

September 29, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I am back from a weekend of relaxing fun with my husband, celebrating my 40th birthday! I’ve been reflecting on what this milestone “means” to me, and the main feeling is, quite simply, gratitude. Gratitude for my husband, who works so hard for me and for us as a unit, gratitude for the not-so-little family that I adore and that drives me a little nutty, gratitude for our home and our situation in life, gratitude for this work that is incredibly fulfilling in so many ways… I’m just thankful for so much. I thought for today’s post, I’d share a colorful birthday shaker card today to say “happy birthday” to myself! Let’s get started with the details.

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I stamped the new Scripty Birthday Background onto a panel of white cardstock using sticky embossing ink, then added White Satin Pearl embossing powder. To create the colorful background, I used blending brushes to blend Pawsitively Saturated Inks: in shades of Fairy, Periwinkle, Iris, Royal, and Tropic, utilizing the emboss/resist technique to create a bold and colorful background. These are some of my most favorite colors in the Pawsitively Saturated Ink line, beautifully rich, with cool undertones and gorgeous vibrancy!

To create the shaker window, I began by die cutting a glittery rectangle, then cutting out the middle using the new A2 Postage Rectangles, creating a unique reverse-scalloped frame. I cut a slightly smaller panel of acetate, then used strips of foam adhesive to completely enclose the frame before filling it with Mist Sequins. I love the look of the iridescent sequins with the cool rainbow blended background!

To adorn my shaker window, I die cut the Handwritten Happy Birthday three times from Royal Purple cardstock, layering the die cuts together to create extra dimension. I placed this in the center of my shaker window, then added several balloons cut from a variety of colored cardstocks using the new Party Balloon die. I arranged the balloons on the card front in a cascade, popping them up with som added foam tape. Finally, I tucked a sentiment strip cut using the EZ Strips die and EZ Strips Birthday. Such a fun and festive card, right?

Well, that’s all for my project today! I am off to enjoy some Mexican food and homemade almond cake courtesy of my daughter and my redhead. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
