Bold Peonies to Celebrate an Anniversary with Simon Says Stamp!

Hi friends! I am back with another gorgeous floral today, this time featuring the stunning Peony & Bells embossing folder on it’s own. I never can resist a gorgeous floral embossing folder to bust out my alcohol markers, and the giant peony bloom on this gorgeous embossing folder was just begging to be colored with vibrant colors. I think flowers are always appropriate imagery for a wedding or anniversary card, so I decided to create a colorful anniversary card with lots of sparkling details and a simple sentiment with those flowers as the focal point. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

To begin, I embossed an A2 panel of white cardstock using the beautiful Peony & Bells. The details on these embossing folders are just exquisite!! I used my OLO Markers to color the blooms and foliage, adding deep, jewel-toned fuchsia to the peony and lavender-gray shadows to the interiors of the lilies of the valley blooms. Once I had finished coloring all of the images, I brushed some Wink of Stella sparkle pen on the edges of the petals and leaves to add some extra special sparkle!

After I had finished coloring and embellishing the embossed panel, I used blending brushes to blend Pawsitively Saturated Inks in shades of Periwinkle + Crocus around the edge of the panel. While I am careful with my blending, one of the advantages of having such saturated colored images is that the blended color doesn’t alter the vibrant peony even if I get a little blending-crazy! After I had added the blurple glow around the colored images, I splattered the background with some iridescent glittering watercolors!

For the greeting, I stamped the anniversary sentiment from Heirloom Roses onto some more white cardstock using Crocus ink, then stamped again directly over the top with embossing ink and added iridescent embossing powder over the top to create a spectacular sheen on the greeting. Once I had finished melting the embossing powder, I used the detailed dies to cut the sentiment out, then used thin foam adhesive squares to pop it up on the card front. Finally, I added a few Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for some extra special sparkle for an extra special anniversary card!

Well, that’s all for my project today! I love creating special cards like this… adding the little extra details to increase the celebratory aesthetic makes my heart happy! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

You should have arrived here from Barbara Tarayao, and your next stop is Keisha Charles. You can also start back at the Simon Says Stamp Blog to see the full hop list. Stay tuned till the end to see the details on the Gift with Purchase and the giveaway information!

I created this monochromatic thank you card using lots of new goodies from the Shine On release and some pretty cardstock. Let’s get started with the details!

To begin, I die cut the new Dancing Meadows floral cover plate from plain white cardstock, removing the die cuts and reserving the negative cover plate die cut for a future project. I then used my OLO Markers to color each individual flower and piece of greenery in a beautiful monochromatic aqua color palette. I kept the color palette simple to keep each element cohesive!

After I had completed coloring all of the floral elements, I die cut the detail layer of the absolutely gorgeous Swirled Thank You from some shimmering glitter cardstock, then backed it with a vellum die cut shadow layer. I adhered the two layers together with liquid adhesive, then cut very thin strips of foam adhesive to place behind the solid lines of the sentiment die cut, effectively hiding the foam adhesive to keep the vellum nice and clean.

After adhering the sentiment to a crisp turquoise A2 card front, I arranged the colored flowers and foliage around the sentiment, adherign them with a combination of liquid, single, and double foam adhesive to create multiple levels of height and dimension on the card front. For a final touch of elegance and luxury, I added beautiful Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to the centers of the flowers. I just love how much sparkle this adds to the card front!

Well, that’s all for my project today! To celebrate this new Shine On release (click HERE to see the full release!), Simon Says Stamp is offering a fabulous Gift-With-Purchase. Meadow of Pink Blooms with New Simon Says Stamp!

June 16, 2026

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon! *I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

Hi friends! I have a meadow of blooms to share with you today using some new products from the Always There release, (click HERE to see the entire collection) which features gorgeous new floral embossing folders! I can’t get enough of floral embossing folders, especially when they also have coordinating dies to make the dimension and depth over the top! The new Blooming Beauties folder features a sweet meadow of blooms and grasses, and I’ve put my OLO Markers to use creating this vibrant card. Let’s get started with the details!

To begin, I die cut the blooms from the Blooming Beauties product suite, then ran the die cuts through my die cutting machine in the embossing folder. I also ran a full A2 panel of white cardstock through the machine with the folder. Once I had completed adding the texture to all of the elements, I used blending brushes to softly blend Jade and Marine Pawsitively Saturated Ink to help enhance the idea of the “grass” and “sky” on the scene. I made sure to select two very light shades so that I could easily color over the top of the blended areas while still having that soft glow of the grass and sky behind the detailed colored areas.

Next, I used OLO Markers to add vibrant pink to the individual blooms and soft green to the foliage and grasses. The light ink blending made it super easy to go over the top with more vibrant colors without worrying about the blended areas contaminating the alcohol marker coloring. After I had finished coloring all of the individual elements, I used thin foam adhesive squares to pop up the individual blooms on their appropriate stems. I love how much extra dimension this adds to the scene!

For the greeting, I stamped a sentiment from the new Frankly, My Dear using Jade Pawsitively Saturated Ink, then stamped again directly over the top using embossing ink and added iridescent embossing powder over the top. I love the shimmer that this embossing powder adds to the gentle green greeting! I used the coordinating die to cut the image out and popped it up with a double layer of foam adhesive to give it a bit of extra height. Finally, I added some sparkling Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems, which adds the most luscious sparkle to the finished card.

Well, that’s all for my project today! We are hopefully moving to our new house in a few weeks, and we have planned forthe front yard to become a meadow of flowers to hopefully help the pollinators and, well, just be prettier than an acre of soybeans. This meadow of blooms definitely is what we will be going for next summer! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Peony, Bells, and Sympathy with New Simon Says Stamp!

June 3, 2026

Hello friends! Whenever Simon Says Stamp releases gorgeous and detailed floral embossing folders with coordinating dies, I am immediately smitten. The new Peony & Bells embossing folder and coordinating dies from the Always There release. (Click HERE to see the entire collection!)  is truly exquisite. I am always up for a peony project, even more so when I can pull out my favorite markers and add detailed, vibrant color. I combined the individual die cuts with an older foliage die and my OLO Markers to create this detailed thinking of you card. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

To begin, I die cut the individual pieces for the Peony & Bells embossing folder set, cutting one large peony and several of the lily of the valley images. I also die cut the Grand Corner Leaves set, cutting all of these elements from Hammermill cardstock so that I could do some detailed coloring using my OLO Markers. After die cutting the individual pieces, I placed the Peony and Bells images in the embossing folder in the appropriate spot, then ran them through my die cutting machine to add that spectacular texture and shape to the die cuts. These embossed die cuts really add an element of texture to your cards that is simply incredible!!

Once the die cuts had been embossed, I used OLO Markers to add detailed and vibrant colors to the individual die cuts, keeping the peony a gorgeous peachy pink and adding subtle mauve shadows to the bells. I used deep jewel toned greens for the greenery. Once I had finished coloring the images, I used a blending brush to lightly blend Shell Pawsitively Saturated Ink on the white A2 card base before arranging and adhering the colored die cuts. I love the subtle halo the blending adds behind the floral arrangement!

For the sentiment, I heat embossed a greeting from the new Inside Greetings 1 using gold embossing powder on vellum, which adds a subtle metallic shimmer to the card without adding visual weight to detract from the floral arrangement. Finally, I added some Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for some gorgeous sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my project today! I hope you will check out the spectacular Peony & Bells die and embossing folder combo… it’s truly spectacular, especially when paired with some detailed coloring. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Lavender Mother’s Day Two-fer: Easy and Advanced with Simon Says Stamp!

April 22, 2026

Hi friends! I am playing a little bit of catch up over the next several days… Our house remodel is getting down to the wire, and between that and my family getting sick last week, I’m spending less time at my desk than I normally am. Spring is officially here in the Midwest, and the trees, flowers, and pollen are definitely making themselves known! It’s put me in an “April showers bring May flowers” kind of creative mood, so I pulled out a bunch of gorgeous floral stamps and dies and just started playing. Today’s projects are another two-fer using the gorgeous Wild & Free Flowers stamp set: a simple project for those on a time crunch, as well as one that is a little bit more involved. Let’s get started with the details!

Both projects for today’s post hinge on two main products: the Wild & Free Flowers stamp and die set and the Lacy Point Frames die set. Simon Says Stamp has come out with some absolutely gorgeous “fancy” rectangle dies in the last several months, and I think they pair perfectly with beautiful florals!! So elegant and feminine. I have used the new Apricot and Seashell cardstocks so much lately that I wanted to push myself out of that comfortable blushy peach zone, so I pulled out another new cardstock color: Moonflower. These pastel colors are just divine, in my opinion!

For my first project, I started by stamping one of the gorgeous floral sprays from Wild & Free Flowers onto my A2 white card front using no-line coloring ink, rotating the card front and the stamp each time to create a continuous background pattern on the card. I used OLO Markers to add gorgeous blurple to the blooms and deep green foliage, adding some shining gold to the centers of the finished flowers with a gold paint pen. For the greeting, I kept things very simple, heat embossing two sentiment stamps from the new Long Stem Florals stamp set using Platinum embossing powder, then die cutting the finished sentiments with their coordinating dies. I also die cut a small embellished rectangle using the Lacy Point Frames die set, popping the sentiment die cuts up on the rectangle with thin foam adhesive. I placed the rectangle on the card front with more thin foam adhesive, then tucked a vintage gold cord bow beneath the sentiments at a jaunty angle and added a touch more sparkle with some Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems. The coloring on this card took a bit, but goodness was it worth it! Such a gorgeous floral image.

For my second project, I decided to create something infinitely simpler by taking advantage of the beautiful details on the same floral spray from Wild & Free Flower paired with colored cardstock. I stamped the beautiful floral image onto some Altenew Glacier Iris cardstock, which a slightly deeper shade of lavender than the Moonflower, using Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink. While this pigment ink was still wet, I added Hero Arts Iridescent Purple embossing powder, which adds a gorgeous semi-opaque shimmer to the image and pops so subtly and beautifully on the colorful cardstock! I die cut the finished image with it’s coordinating die. I also die cut a beautiful frame using the same Lacy Point Frames die set from Simon Says Stamp Moonflower cardstock, cutting the embellished rectangle first, then placing a plain A2 Rectangles die in the center to create a frame. I popped up the pretty, lacy frame die cut on a full A2 panel of Moonflower cardstock using thin foam adhesive squares, then placed my embossed die cut flower in the center, adhering it with more foam adhesive. For the greeting, I stamped three separate sentiment stamps from Thanks, Mom onto more Moonflower cardstock using Iris Pawsitively Saturated Ink, then stamped directly over the top with embossing ink and added more of the Hero Arts Iridescent Purple embossing powder to create a pop of more intense iridescent purple. Finally, I added an Iridescent White Cord bow and some more Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for a bit more sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my projects today! I just adore the gorgeous blooms in the Wild & Free Flower-whether they’re meticulously colored or embossed on pretty cardstock, they make such a beautiful impact! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
