Autumnal Thank You with Simon Says Stamp!

Hi friends! I am back today with another floral project, this time with a decidedly autumnal aesthetic. I love a good monochromatic moment, and the solid stamps in the new Sunflower Meadow stamp set are perfect for creating your own, completely custom patterned paper in whatever colors you might fancy! I know that sunflowers are typically a bright and sunny yellow, but I have seen them come in a myriad of shades and thought I would put some of the vast amounts of colored cardstock in my possession to good use by creating lots of warm coral elements. Let’s get started with the details!

To begin, I stamped lots of different elements from the Sunflower Meadow stamp set onto my coral A2 card front using Nutmeg Pawsitively Saturated Ink. When creating a custom patterned paper like this, I like to start with the largest image, stamping it multiple times on the cardstock and rotating both the stamp and the cardstock to create a seamless effect throughout the panel. After stamping the largest image, I use the same process to stamp the next smallest image, filling in gaps and continuing to rotate the cardstock and the stamp. I continue working my way down the size of my stamps until I reach the smallest image, filling in blank spots. For this particular panel, I wanted to create a gradient of colors without adding any additional ink colors to my project, so I “stamped off” for some of the smaller blooms and foliage, meaning that I inked up the image, stamped once on scrap paper, then stamped the remaining residual ink on the card front, creating an almost shadow effect. I love the different levels of intensity that this technique adds to the background!

Once I had completed the background, I knew that I wanted to accent the autumnal panel with some individual autumnal die cuts, so I cut the petals from the Sunflower Blooms die set from the same coral cardstock used for the A2 card front panel, as well as the foliage and flower center details from some specialty cardstock: chocolate brown glitter cardstock and brushed copper foil cardstock! I also trimmed a strip of the same brushed copper cardstock to help “ground” my focal point on the finished card.

For the greeting, I enhanced the beautiful “thank you” from XL Darling Script Greetings, cut with the same brown glitter cardstock and coral cardstock used previously on the card, by adding a sentiment strip from the Small Thanks stamp set. I stamped the “for thinking of me” using Allspice Pawsitively Saturated Ink on more of the same coral cardstock, then arranged the die cuts and sentiment strip along the strip of copper foil cardstock on my patterned panel. I added a sparkling copper twine bow and some Gilded Sequins for added shimmer and to help fill in any holes in the design. I am so pleased with how this one came out! The elements all work together to create a nicely balanced card.

Well, that’s all for my project today! It doesn’t feel like fall quite yet, but school is starting and the fall feelings are starting too. I foresee lots of warm colors and chocolate brown in my crafty future! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Sunflower Swags with New Simon Says Stamp!

August 5, 2026

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon! *I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

Hi friends! I am back with another sunflower project, this time using a brand new floral set from the Simon Says Stamp Every Happiness release! (click HERE to check out the entire release!) Solid stamped images sometimes are a little tricky for me, creatively, but the simplicity of these images works beautifully with a clean and simple style, and the abundance of individual flowers, foliage, and small bouquet arrangements made it super fun to create a gorgeous and unique card. I kept this project clean and crisp, with plenty of white space and pops of pretty yellow, topped off with a contrasting custom sentiment. Let’s get started with the details!

To begin, I die cut all of the images included with the Sunflower Meadow product suite. I find that die cutting *before* stamping pre-designed bouquets helps me to get the placement just right within my MISTI. To do this, I die cut all of the images from one panel of cardstock, then remove the positive die cuts and place that leftover negative piece inside my MISTI. I then place the stamps in their coordinating opening, which gives me an opportunity to have perfect placement in the center of each opening. I then replace the positive die cuts and stamp as normal!

For all of these images, I used Pawsitively Saturated Inks in shades of Butter, Honey, Eucalyptus, & Woodsy. I used the “stamping off” technique to achieve multiple levels of intensity with the Woodsy ink, using a piece of scrap paper to take off the first layer of ink before stamping on the actual die cut itself for the center of each flower. This allows me to use one shade of ink for two different stamps to achieve definition between the layers! After I had stamped all of the images, I set them aside to work on the greeting.

I used Woodsy ink at full intensity to stamp a greeting from Sunflower Meadow and die cut it with the coordinating die. I also die cut only the “friend” standalone die cut word from the Beautiful Friend die set, cutting it three times from some deep chocolate brown cardstock. I layered the die cuts together to create a dimensional die cut greeting, which paired beautifully with the message on the stamped sentiment. I arranged the flowers and sentiment on a large Chunky Ovals die cut, using the shape of the unique, elongated oval as a guide for my floral swag. I tucked the greeting amongst the blank space on the oval and then added a few leftover blooms and sprigs of greenery beneath it, adhering everythign with liquid and foam adhesive. Finally, I added several Butter Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for additional sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my project today! While not traditionally “clean and simple,” I think the clean white spaces and crisp stamped die cuts are so clean and elegant. I just love a well-designed, simple stamp set! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Peachy Bokeh with the New Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month!

January 19, 2026

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I have some belated inspiration to share with you using the February 2026 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month, which is now available for preorder! (Click HERE to see all of the details of the kit!) I love the opportunity to work with these carefully-curated kits, because the coordinating components work so beautifully together that some of the creative work is done for me! I simply have to come up with a layout and add the general details. Here’s a sneak peek at this month’s kit:

All of the individual components of this kit retail for over $90, but you can purchase this kit for $44.99! What a bargain, right? And save even more by becoming a monthly subscriber. Click HERE to start your monthly subscription!

My card today takes it’s cues from the beautiful rose gold metallic cardstock that comes in the kit; I adore pairing rose gold with blush and peach tones, and so used that as my inspiration for this bokeh card. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I used a stamping block to stamp the solid circle images from Be Your Beautiful Self onto an A2 panel of Ivory cardstock, included with the kit. Whenever I see solid circle stamps, my mind immediately goes to bokeh. Remember how bokeh was all the rage about ten years ago? Well, I have created this bokeh background in honor of those bygone stylistic days! I used the “stamping off” method to achieve these soft overlapping circles, stamping circles of Rhubarb, Salmon, and Paprika Pawsitively Saturated Inks once on scratch paper off to the side using a stamp block and the foam Craft Pad to ensure extra crisp stamping, then stamping the soft remnants on my A2 panel. I did leave the Shell inked circles at full strength to keep them visible. I made sure to overlap some circles and try to be as random as possible with the placement so that it looked soft and blurred, like bokeh in a photograph! Once I had completed the stamping, I blended more Shell ink around the edges and splattered the background with some beautiful rose gold metallic watercolors.

While the background was drying, I used the concentric circle dies from the included Artful Palette die set to cut three different sizes of solid rose gold metallic circles. I envisioned a collage of die cut shapes on my bokeh background, and also die cut the three different sized butterfly dies from the sheet of vellum cardstock included with the kit.

To complete my collage, I stamped three different greetings from the Be Your Beautiful Self onto some more Ivory cardstock using embossing ink, then added Rose Gold embossing powder to coordinate beautifully with the peachy blush tones of the rest of the card. I used the coordinating dies (sold separately from the kit and linked below) to die cut the sentiments, then began arranging the die cut elements on my bokeh card front. I used liquid adhesive as well as the thin foam adhesive squares included in the kit, doubling the foam adhesive up for a few of the elements so that they were a bit taller than the others, adding plenty of dimension and interest to the card. Finally, I added some sparkling Peachy Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to the bodies of the butterflies and around the die cut collage!

Well, that’s all for me today! I think this card is so pretty, and shows that even the simplest of shapes can become the prettiest cards.

The Simon Says Stamp Card Kits are such an incredible value; the value of the individual elements of each kit equals far more than the $44.99 price tag, so you’re getting incredible bang for your buck. If you are consistently interested in the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month, you can sign up HERE to become a subscriber for an even bigger discount on these carefully curated products. Love and Joy in Pink for Christmas with Simon Says Stamp + DieCember SALE!

December 29, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! The Twelve Days of Christmas are still going strong, so I am back today with a technicolor holiday card featuring one of my favorite holiday color combinations: pink and turquoise! This color combo is so versatile, in my opinion, because it can be made soft and muted with blush and pale aqua, or it can be vibrant with shocking pink and vivid turquoise. I chose to go the super vibrant route today to put some new goodies from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember release (Check out the full DieCember release HERE! And psst-there’s a fabulous sale to celebrate DieCember!). Let’s get started on the details!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

I began my project by running a panel of A2 white cardstock through my die cutting machine using the new Gathered Holly embossing folder. This folder is beautifully detailed and features a gorgeous holly bouquet for a generously-sized focal point, but it also has coordinating layering stencils that you can use to blend vibrant color on the images! Awesome, right? I used the Gathered Holly Stencils to blend Peony, Dew, and Mist Pawsitively Saturated Inks over the embossed images. The blending alone was enough to add some fabulous color and definition to the images, but I also wanted to increase the dimension with some pencil shadows. I used colored pencils to add shading to the leaves and some of the berries to help them pop even more from the embossed bouquet!

After I had finished embellishing my boughs of holly, I used the individual snowflake stamps from the Sparkle Season stamp set to stamp a snowy background behind the holly using Peony Pawsitively Saturated Ink. I used the “stamping off” method to make sure that the snowflakes were not overpowering to the main focal image, instead providing a bit of texture and interest behind the holly focal point. I also used a blending brush to lightly blend the same Peony ink around the edges of the card, making the snowflakes tone-on-tone. Once the stamping and blending were complete, I splattered the entire card front with some shimmering glitter watercolors, increasing the texture and wintry effect of the snowflakes!

For the greeting, I die cut the new Bouncy Merry Christmas detail layer from some vibrant pink glitter cardstock and the shadow layer from vellum, layering them together with liquid adhesive. I also stamped a smaller sentiment from Sparkle Season using Peony ink and die cut it with it’s coordinating die. I adhered the large die cut Merry Christmas with clear dimensional adhesive, then tucked the smaller sentiment beneath it with thin foam adhesive squares. I added a trio of individually stamped and die cut snowflakes from Sparkle Season, then finished the card off with an Iridescent White Cord bow and some Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems. So pretty, so festive, and so very sparkly!

Well, that’s all for my project today! To help DieCember go out with a bang, Simon Says Stamp is offering 20% off all Simon-branded dies!

Serene Green and White with New Simon Says Stamp!

July 7, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I have a serene pair of projects to share with you featuring some of the gorgeous new goodies from the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You release, including the beautifully serene Ink Trio 31. Green is always an underrated color in my craft room, frequently playing second fiddle to the vibrant pinks and purples that I use in my floral projects. Well, for today’s projects, that gorgeous eucalyptus green is the star of the show! Let’s get started with this pair of calming cards.

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

The new Ink Trio 31 features Jade, Eucalyptus, and Juniper inks, which are just the most perfect shades of muted minty green. They are definitely destined to be favorites at my desk! The color palette is so soothing and coordinates beautifully with so many different color palettes, but I thought that they were so beautiful that they needed to shine all on their own with some simple floral projects.

For my first project, I stamped a custom floral background using the individual floral elements from the new Happy Day stamp set, stamping them with Eucalyptus Pawsitively Saturated Ink on Simon Says Stamp Sage cardstock. To create this background, I first stamped clusters of three flowers, rotating the stamp block with each new impression to create an interesting and random pattern. Once I had stamped my floral clusters, I added the foliage to the clusters, filling in blank areas of the stamped background with multiple styles of foliage from the Happy Day set. Once I had finished stamping the background, I used a blending brush to blend some more Eucalyptus ink around the edges of the panel, creating almost a vignette effect on the background. I also used a white gel pen to dot the centers of the flowers to add a little extra special detail to the background pattern.

For the greeting, I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Day stamp set onto some white cardstock using Eucalyptus ink, then stamped again using embossing ink and added some Iridescent Blue embossing powder to add a little shimmer to the sentiment. I die cut the greeting with it’s coordinating die, then used some residual Eucalyptus ink from the blending brush to add a touch of color to the sentiment die cut. I adhered the greeting in the center of the stamped panel with some foam adhesive, then tucked a few Delicate Wildflowers die cuts that I had created from white glitter and white pearl cardstock around the sentiment, adding another pop of white to the card. Finally, I added one more pop of white with some Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems, completing the “rule of three” for accent colors. Isn’t this such a delicate, pretty card? I love that the majority of it was created with just one stamp set!

For my second card, I decided to put the details of my new Dahlia Background stamp set to work creating a simple stamped background. I stamped the Dahlia Background using Jade Pawsitively Saturated Ink from Ink Trio 31, creating a delicate pastel floral pattern that stands beautifully on it’s own without any need for coloring! I trimmed the edges 1/8″ on each side, then mounted the floral panel in the center of a full size A2 panel of Sage cardstock, creating a simple frame around my floral background.

For the greeting, I stamped a sentiment from the With Thanks set, stamping both the large “thank you” and the small coordinating strip onto Sage cardstock with Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink, then adding White Satin Pearl embossing powder over the top to add a touch of shimmer and to help the subtle sentiment stand out against the medium-green cardstock. I die cut the large sentiment with it’s coordinating die, then used my sharp scissors to fussy cut the sentiment strip, mounting both pieces in the center of my floral background with foam adhesive. I added a few more die cut Delicate Wildflowers to accent the sentiment, then tucked a simple white silk bow amongst the die cuts and added a smattering of Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for added sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my projects today! I love a saturated color palette, but sometimes simplistic is just what the doctor ordered, don’t you think? Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
