Daisies are the Friendliest Flowers with Simon Says Stamp!

August 18, 2026

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon! *I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

“Don’t you think that daisies are the friendliest flowers?” Name that movie!! It’s one of my favorites! I am so excited that I was able to design my newest stamp set for Simon Says Stamp called Daisy Frame (check it out HERE) featuring the friendliest of blooms. I created two different daisy floral arrangements for the stamp set, one with a wreath of daisies and foliage (check out THIS project and THIS project featuring the large wreath!) and for today’s project, I thought I’d turn my attention to the smaller swag included with the set. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

To begin, I stamped the swag from Daisy Frame using no-line coloring ink on plain white cardstock, then used OLO Markers to color the images in pretty shades of purple and soft green. I used the coordinating dies to cut the finished colored images out and set them aside. Daisies are such a fun floral to color, because the petals are fairly straightforward and don’t curl in on each other, making them great for practicing your shading!

After I had created my pretty daisy swags, I decided to ramp up the feminine factor with some pretry, lacy frames. I die cut the new Petal Point Frames twice: once alone for the medium-sized die cut and another paired with an A2 Rectangles die to create a lovely, lacy frame. I layered the two lacy die cuts on my white A2 card front, adhering the frame around the outside with liquid adhesive and using thin foam adhesive for the center die cut so that they were layered together. The straight edge of the exterior frame keeps the layered frames from being too visually busy.

After I had layered the frames on my card front, I used another layer of thin foam adhesive to add the daisy swags to the top and bottom of my middle lacy rectangle. The double layer of foam adhesive helps those daisies to pop from the layers of white cardstock! I also stamped a greeting from Daisy Frame using Whale Pawsitively Saturated Ink and die cut it with it’s coordinating die, then placed it in the absolute center of my middle lacy rectangle with some more thin foam adhesive. Finally, I added a few Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my project today! I just love the crisp white-on-white layers with that pop of vibrant purple, don’t you? It’s so feminine and delicate! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Fun with Felt: Bunny Edition with Simon Says Stamp!

March 7, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I’m back today with another Fun with Felt project, this time using some of the sweet springtime products from the new Simon Says Stamp Favorite Things release. I am enjoying creating projects that last a bit longer than a card, and felt is a great way to make a project feel more substantial and meaningful. Let’s get started with the details!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To start, I placed a piece of finely knit white cotton fabric, sized to fit within a 5″ embroidery hoop, in my MISTI, then stamped some of the floral branches from the beautiful Tweet Friend stamp set along the top of the fabric using Simon Says Stamp’s Nocturne Ink. This pigment ink works beautifully with lots of different surfaces, making it an ideal ink to use with fabric! After it had dried completely, I used some alcohol markers to add delicate blue and emerald green to the branches, using a light hand to keep the ink from bleeding outside the stamped edges, and placed the fabric in the 5″ embroidery hoop.

After creating my background, I die cut the new Huggable Bunny, Pretty Bows, Grassy Edges, and Easter Basket die from some lovely springtime felt colors. I adhered the different pieces of the bunny together using felt glue and allowed it to dry completely under a heavy paperweight to keep things nice and flat. I began arranging the different die cut felt pieces on my floral embroidery hoop background, adhering them each with felt glue and placing another heavy glass paperweight on top to keep things flat while drying.

Once I had finished arranging and adhering all of my felt die cuts, I used needle and thread to sew on some seed bead flowers, grass, and some stamens to the centers of the stamped floral branches. The seed beads add just a hint of shimmer to the project, and the added texture makes it feel even more polished! I just love how this one turned out!

Well, that’s all for my project today. I have been working with textiles and different fabrics and mediums so much lately… it’s so fun to add some variety into my crafting time! I hope it inspires you to look outside of your paper stash to see what you can embellish and make even more special. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Simon Says Stamp March 2025 Card Kit Release!

February 14, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! The new Simon Says Stamp March 2025 Card Kit is now available for preorder, and let me just say, it features some absolutely darling components that get your springtime mojo going!! The new Tweet Friend stamp set included with the kit is truly precious, featuring lots of beautiful little singing birdies and several components with which you can build scenes on your card fronts. The March 2025 Card Kit also features scrumptious patterned papers that work beautifully with the other elements of the kit. I’ve paired some of the patterned paper with the stamp set and some other goodies to create this coordinated gift set. Let’s get started with the details!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

I was so entranced by the beautiful patterned papers included with this month’s Card Kit that I decided to use them as a focal point for my projects today. The beautiful floral garden scene worked perfectly as a backdrop for my birds, and the floral wreath was exquisite as a focal point for a framed decor piece! The Card Kit is a great value, with the individual components being worth far more than the very economical kit price, and bonus, the elements all work beautifully together as well as separately!

For my first project, I began by using my sharp scissors to fussy cut the flower garden scene from the patterned paper included with the Card Kit so that I could layer it on my colored cardstock, creating a lovely backdrop for my singing birds. I blended Rhubarb ink at the top of a very pale blush A2 card front, creating a blushing haze upon which I could layer the garden scene. I adhered the fussy cut patterned paper with liquid adhesive, then popped up a strip of the mint green foil cardstock included in the Card Kit to create some “grass” beneath my stamped images.

After I had created the background for my scene, I stamped several of the images from the Tweet Friends stamp set included with the Card Kit using Simon Says Stamp’s Nocturne Ink, which I softened by adding White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder over the top to create a pearlescent charcoal. I colored the images using my OLO markers, creating some sweet bluebirds and pretty pink blooms, then used the coordinating dies to cut all of the pieces out. I popped them up with thin foam adhesive squares, tucking the individual blooms amongst the other pieces to create an ethereal garden. I love the sentiment, too, with the beautiful font and uplifting greetings! Finally, I added some Dusk Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for a bit of added sparkle, as well as adding another element of blue to tie into the bluebirds and beautiful blue blooms!

I also created this piece of decor using the beautiful wreath patterned paper included with the kit. It covers most of the 6×6 panel, and I couldn’t bear to cut it up to fit on a card front, so I decided to keep it intact and frame it! I used an inexpensive frame that I purchased at the local dollar store, covering the glass front with a 6×6 panel of the minty green foil cardstock and popping up the fussy cut wreath in the center with foam adhesive. With the decor that I’ve been creating over the last few months, I have been scouring my word die stash for sentiments that would outside of a card greeting, and the Hello Beautiful Gorgeous work really well for both cards and for this piece of inspirational home decor! I am going to give this to my daughter to put in her redecorated bedroom later this year. I think it’s perfect for a tween, and this color palette fits perfectly with what she’s chosen for her room. I die cut the detailed sentiment dies from the Bubblegum glitter cardstock included in the card kit, then adhered it to a panel of the Simon Says Stamp Shimmer Vellum and used sharp scissors to fussy cut around the edges. The vellum shadow allows the pink glitter sentiment to stand out a bit from the colorful floral background. Finally, I added a pretty pink bow and some more Dusk gems for added texture and sparkle!

Well, that’s all for my projects today. One of the best things about the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit releases is the ability to customize to your heart’s content. You can purchase each Card Kit a la carte, meaning that you choose to preorder the kit at a great value on release day of each month if you like the kit’s contents; you can select the Card Kit Subscription, which gives you a discount and even better bang for your buck; or you can simply purchase the individual items that you want, albeit at full price. The kits themselves are limited edition, so once they’re sold out, that incredible value is no longer available, but the individual components are available for a long time to purchase!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Simon Says Stamp January 2025 Card Kit of the Month!

December 15, 2024

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I am popping in to share some inspiration using the brand new Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month for January 2025. This marvelous kit is available right now for preorder, with the full kits shipping at the beginning of January 2025! (Also-how weird is it to type 2025? My fingers are going to have to get used to that!) These Card Kits are absolutely chock full of excellent value, with the contents valued individually well over the purchase price of $39.99. You receive the large main stamp set, along with lots of coordinating goodies, papers, ephemera, and embellishments. I have a vibrant winter-themed project to share with you, so let’s get started with the details!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

The adorable Yeti theme in this month’s kit makes such a great transition from the holiday imagery that we’ve been using for the last few months into more winter-themed images. The kit’s Get Yeti stamp set features a fun-loving yeti with several different activities and lots of accessories to create some sweet scenes! I stamped the sledding yeti and trees with Nocturne ink and added some clear embossing powder over the top, then used OLO markers to add some light shadows to the yeti and a vibrant pattern to the scarf. I used the color palette in the patterned papers included with the kit as my inspiration for my own color palette, keeping the vibrant cherry red, white, and muted sage green throughout each element on my card.

For the background, I used the Illuminated Jacks embossing folder included with the kit with a panel of Lipstick Red cardstock, also included with the kit. I swiped my white pigment ink pad over the raised areas of the embossed card, then used a blending brush to blend some white pigment ink in the center of the card. I also splattered some white gouache on the panel to create some fluttering snowflakes for a super textured and interesting background!

After I had completed the background, I used my trimmer to trim a panel of A2 white cardstock at an angle to create my sledding hill. I popped it up on the embossed and splattered background using some foam adhesive, then built my little scene on on the hill, using multiple heights of foam adhesive to add tons of dimension to the scene. For a bit of added sparkle, I used some Fresh Snowfall Glitter Accents to add some sparkling snow to the trees and snowy slope!

Well, that’s all for my project today. If you like the looks of this kit, you have several options for purchase: you can preorder your Card Kit of the Month for January 2025 today to receive an incredible value with all of the fun trimmings (while supplies last, so don’t wait!), you can become a subscriber to receive a new kit each month at an even better discount, or you can purchase individual elements! I have linked all of the different elements that I used below, but the entire Card Kit of the Month for January 2025 is by far the best value.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Collaboration: Tim Holtz!

September 27, 2024

Hi friends! Today’s STAMPtember collaboration features a limited edition collaboration set from the perpetually creative and fabulous Tim Holtz!! Tim’s quirky designs are always such a joy to use, and the exclusive, limited edition STAMPtember stamp& die set that he designed is full of those delightfully unique images with a holiday twist. These classic icons are illustrated in Tim’s signature style, and are the perfect size to fit on the Simon Says Stamp Postage Stamp dies! I have used the images and Postage Stamp dies to create this clean collage, marrying Tim’s quirky style with my own style with a minimal color palette and stark black and white contrast. Let’s get started with the details!

*I have linked all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I laid out nine of the images from the Tim Holtz STAMPtember collaboration bundle on an A2 panel of Hammermill cardstock, laying them out in rows of three, then stamping them using black pigment ink and clear embossing to make those lines even more crisp. I used OLO Markers to add color to the images, selecting a minty green and cool red color palette and adding color only to some parts of the images, allowing the clean white of the cardstock to be it’s own addition to the color palette!

After I had colored all of the images, I die cut them with the coordinating dies included in the Tim Holtz STAMPtember collaboration bundle. These smaller images are so cute and are just the right size for a postage stamp! I also die cut nine white stamp die cuts from another panel of clean white cardstock. I used thin foam adhesive squares to add each of the Christmas icons to the center of the postage stamp die cuts. To give myself a little wiggle room and keep the lines nice and straight, I used liquid adhesive to adhere the postage stamps to a black A2 card front, trying to keep the rows as neat as possible!

After I had adhered all of the postage stamps to my card front, I decided to use some glitter to embellish and make the card extra festive. I added some adhesive to certain spots on the icons using the Quickie Glue Pen and sprinkled Simon Says Stamp’s Unicorn Dust glitter over the top. These little touches of glittery shimmer add just the right touch of festive sparkle to the card!

Well, that’s all for my project today! These STAMPtember collaboration sets are limited edition and usually sell out very quickly, so if you’re on the fence, don’t wait too long! To sweeten the deal and make it even easier for you to shop, Heidi at Simon Says Stamp has offered free shipping for purchases over $25 for a limited time!!

I’m sure that this Tim Holtz set will sell out super quickly, so if you’re on the fence, don’t wait too long… these limited edition sets are gone forever once they sell out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy STAMPtember!!
