Hi there! Today’s the day…. the newest Essentials By Ellen release is available from Ellen Hutson! There are some seriously darling sets in this release…. from scooters, to lemons, to topknots… there’s a little something for everyone! I have two projects to share with you today (and a few more that I’m saving for later!), so let’s get started with the details!

The new Good Times stamps and dies are so freakin adorable. Scooters are super trendy right now (who doesn’t want to have a scooter to just putter around town on?), and these stamps are a lovely, substantial size. Super easy for making a fun scene on your card front! I paired the super cute stamps with a pastel ice cream shop color scheme. I stamped several of the elements of the Good Times stamps using Intense Black ink, then colored them with a variety of pale Copic markers.

I die cut a little hillside road from some aqua card stock using the new Landscapes dies (those dies are going to be SO useful for so many projects!), as well as a stitched hexagon die from the Welcome die set from Wplus9. I stamped and heat embossed a greeting from Good Times on the white hexagon. I then used a Picket Fence Studios blender brush to blend some pretty pale lavender around the edge of the hexagon. I also stamped a very subtle, pale gray background using the Wplus9 Wood Planks stamps

I mounted my wood grain panel on an A2 panel of pale pink card stock, then mounted all of the die cuts with foam adhesive. The final touch was to add some Caribbean Blue sparkles!

For my second project today, I wanted to use the new Voices In My Head to create a super clean and graphic project! I started by stamping the topknot image using Intense Black ink, then used my blender brushes to blend some color on her hair and a bit of blush on her cheeks! I then stamped another topknot girl on some masking paper, trimmed it, and adhered it over the top of the blended version. I also added some masking tape around the edge of the white A2 panel, then stamped The Stamp Market’s Confetti background stamp and removed the mask and the masking tape around the edge of the panel.

Once the masks had been removed, I used my T-square to draw a frame around the edge of the masked polka dots. I die cut a speech bubble from the new Speech Bubbles dies and added a sentiment from Voices In My Head. I adhered the die cut to the card front using foam tape for some added dimension.
Well, that’s all for my projects today! I hope you’ll check out the newest release from Ellen Hutson…. so very many cute sets to choose from! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous day!
