Hi friends! Today’s project is a special one to me. I have always loved blue and white, and even chose those colors for my wedding. Today, “cottage core” and “grandma chic” have now made blue and white super popular design elements for decor, so I thought I would apply some of those trends to my card for today, using the brand new Wildflower Cuttings stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You release. Let’s get started on the details of my project!

This project is super simple and uses only the Wildflower Cuttings stamps and dies! I began by using one of the large foliage stamps with an acrylic block to stamp a pretty botanical background in the top left corner of the card using Cadette Pawsitively Saturated Ink. I also used a blending brush to lightly blend the same Cadette ink over the top of the stamped area, creating a tone-on-tone effect! To add a little extra texture and sparkle to the background, I splattered sparkling iridescent watercolors on the blended area, adding a touch of shimmer to this simple stamped background.
For the focal point, I stamped the vase and bouquet image from the Wildflower Cuttings stamp set, again using Cadette ink. To add another element of shimmer and shine, I also stamped directly over the top of the image with embossing ink and sprinkled Hero Arts Iridescent Blue embossing powder over the top, adding a lovely crispness and gorgeous shimmer to the image. I repeated the same process with the greeting, then used the coordinating dies to cut each embossed image.
After I had stamped and die cut the images, I trimmed a small rectangle of white glitter cardstock to create a “shelf” for my vase of flowers. I popped it up with foam adhesive squares, then added the vase. I nestled the sentiment in the crook of the floral arrangement, then added a little twine bow around the narrow neck of the vase. Finally, I finished the project off with some sparkling Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems. I think this card is so simple and elegant, and could easily be recreated in any ink color and different sentiments to create a matching set!
