Hi there! It’s the first Monday of the new month, so that means it’s time to release a new My Monthly Hero kit. You should have arrived here from Debi Adams, and your next stop is Ilina Crouse. This month’s kit is an ode to one of the harbingers of spring: the cherry blossom.

This month’s kit includes: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, 5 Coordinating Frame Cuts, 5 Ink Cubes (Green Hills, Field Greens, Dusty Blue, Rose Madder, Cotton Candy), 6 5.5″x 8.5″ Sheets of Cardstock (2 each of Peony, Kiwi and Mist), and Pink Puff Embossing Powder 0.5 oz. Such a beautiful kit, filled with a beautiful color scheme! And there are some absolutely stunning add-ons this month, which you can check out here. I’ve combined the main kit with one of the beautiful new Waves and Clouds Bold Prints for my project today, so let’s get started with the details!

I began by stamping the beautiful cherry blossom image from the main kit on a white oval using Soft Blossom, Ultra Pink, and Soft Brown inks, adding the beautiful grassy hill with Soft Olive and Forever Green inks. I also added a bit of blue blending around the edge for some “sky” using blending brushes and Dusty Blue ink.

Next, I heat embossed the lovely new Waves and Clouds Bold Prints on some Peony cardstock using White Satin Pearl embossing powder. I blended a little Soft Blossom in the corner of the embossed panel, as well, to help add more contrast to the stamped background.

I layered the stamped oval on a slightly larger oval (both cut using the Oval Infinity Dies) cut from some Palm cardstock, then adhered them to the heat embossed card front using foam adhesive. I added a twine bow and some coordinating pink enamel dots for even more texture.
Well, that’s all for my project today! Now, to celebrate this latest My Monthly Hero release, Hero Arts is giving away a $50 shopping spree to one lucky commenter! All you have to do to be eligible to win is leave a comment on each stop on the hop. The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win! Your next stop is Ilina Crouse. You can also head back to the Hero Arts blog to get the full hop list!
Note: For this month only (due to production delays) we will begin shipping the kit on March 16th, and will continue throughout the next week.
