Hi there! Spellbinders sent me some of their newest dies from the Sweet Street collection, designed by Tina Smith. This fun collection features a variety of darling die sets, as well as a coordinating sentiment set and some fun embellishments. I love a good standalone die set… something about creating with simple die cuts really gets my creativity flowing! I’ve created two projects with these products today, so let’s get started with the details!

My first project features both the Sweet Treat Box and the Cookie Corner dies. I used a variety of mint and pink cardstocks, which remind me of a sweet little bakery. I did some ink blending around the edges to add extra dimension and depth to the die cuts.

The Sweet Treat Box die set comes with a few sentiment dies, which I die cut from some glittery white cardstock and adhered to the deep minty green panel. I also die cut a few glittery white hearts and added them to the sentiment panel, which I added to the box using foam adhesive. I adhered the entire box to a light mint green card front using more foam adhesive for lots of dimension.

Inside the bakery box, I added the die cut cookies cut using the Cookie Corner dies. I die cut them from some almond colored cardstock, then did a bit of ink blending around the edges with some tan ink to add a little extra depth to the cookies. Such a fun, interactive card with these sweet dies!

For my second project, I used the Sweet Shoppe dies to create this mini-slimline card. I began by die cutting almost all of the different elements from white cardstock, except for the solid portion of the awning and the cupcake liners, which I die cut from some light gray cardstock.

I used my Copic markers to add color to the individual die cut pieces from Sweet Shoppe in a pretty coral-mint-gray color scheme, leaving some pieces white. I trimmed down a card base to mini-slimline size, 3.5″x6″ (a size that I’m growing ever more fond of-just the right size for building little scenes, but not too much space to have to cover!), and blended some pale gray ink around the edges. I adhered two of the bakery window die cuts together using liquid adhesive for a little extra height, then added them to the blended card front. I arranged the die cut baked goods on the front and glued them down with a little liquid adhesive, adding the awning with foam adhesive.

For the greeting, I embossed a sentiment from the Sugar Coated Sentiments stamp set onto a flagged sentiment strip from the Sweet Confections Label and Banner dies that I die cut from some of the same pale gray cardstock. I added it to the card front using some more foam adhesive. Lots of dimension with little pops of color on this cute little card!
Well, that’s all for my projects today. Thanks to Spellbinders for sharing the delightful Sweet Street collection with me. They really are such fun to play with! Thanks for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
