Joyful Snowman with New Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer Release!

October 9, 2026

Hi friends! I am back today with some more inspiration using the new Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer release (click HERE to see everything!). Yesterday’s project featured all things fall with a color saturated Sweater Weather theme, but today I’m switching gears with this delightfully pink snowman project! Simon Says Stamp has tons of incredible snowman dies, and I think the new Joyful Snowman might just be my favorite! From the stitched scarf to the sweet top hat to the chubby little arms, I am just in love with how perfectly proportioned and accessorized he is. Let’s get started on the details for my project!

To begin, I die cut the components of the new Joyful Snowman die set from plain white cardstock. I then used OLO Markers to add some subtle blue shadows to the arms, head, and body, and added vibrant magenta and deep black to the scarf, hat, flower, and hat band. I am so, so happy with how this came out! After I had colored all of the pieces, I assembled everything with liquid glue and thin foam adhesive squares and set the little snowman aside to dry.

For the background, I wanted to keep things relatively simple to allow my snowman to still be the star of the show, but I also wanted some wintry texture, so I selected the exquisite Pixie Snowflake embossing folder. This extra large snowflake added delicate texture to my deep magenta card front, and I enhanced the texture with some swipes of white pigment ink on the raised areas. I also added some dots with my white paint pen, creating lovely and delicate accents to this beautiful snowflake image.

For the greeting, I used my guillotine trimmer to cut the “sending joy” from the new Very Merry XL EZ Strips sentiment card set (you could easily use one of the handy dandy XL EZ Strips dies, but I was rushing and didn’t want to take the time to locate mine! Trimmers still work, just not as nicely as the coordinating dies!) I trimmed the strip out, then trimmed a slightly wider strip of coordinating pink glitter cardstock. I flagged the end of my sentiment strip with my scissors, adhered it to the pink strip, then flagged the ends of the glitter strip. I adhered both pieces to the snowflake card front with foam adhesive, then placed the snowman on top of the senitment strip, tucking the greeting just below his arm! Finally, I added a few Bubblegum Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for additional sparkle and texture.

Well, that’s all for my project today! My brain is whirling with ideas for this sweet little snowman. A project for another day, I guess! Don’t forget about the Sending Cheer Blog Hop taking place over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog. You can be inspired, find out about the freebie, and enter to win a gift card at each stop! (Click HERE to start at the beginning!) Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Simple and Elegant Christmas Card with New DieCember from Simon Says Stamp!

December 17, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I am back with another Christmas card featuring new goodies from Simon Says Stamp’s DieCember release, this time with a super simple, but still very elegant and classy, holiday card! I think the effect of 3D embossing folders on metallic coated cardstock is absolute magic, and I thought I’d take advantage of that with the stunning new Dazzle Snowflake embossing folder and die combo! I created this easily mass-produced project that is perfect for last minute holiday cards. Let’s get started with the details!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I die cut the included die from the new Dazzle Snowflake embossing folder and die set using Simon Says Stamp Metallic Rose cardstock. This foil cardstock has the most exquisite shine and it picks up those intricate details on the embossing folders to utter perfection. When working with cut and emboss products, I like to die cut the image first, then run it through my die cutting machine in order to preserve those beautifully impressed details. Embossing first then die cutting would flatten the embossed impression. I love that the new Dazzle Snowflake die is so very intricate, as well; it truly deserves to be a focal point as I’ve used it today!

Behind the snowflake die cut, I used a blending brush to blend Shell Pawsitively Saturated Ink in the center of a pale blush A2 card front, then splattered some coordinating metallic rose gold watercolors over the card front to add extra texture and create a “snowy background” aesthetic.

For the greeting, I heat embossed one of the simple sentiments from Tree Plate Greetings on a thick strip of the same blush cardstock using rose gold embossing powder, then used my sharp scissors to notch the ends. I popped up the snowflake and the sentiment strip with foam adhesive, then finished the project off with some gorgeous Peachy Pawsitively Dazzling Gems on the snowflake. I love adding those sparkling details to a simple holiday card! It makes it so much more festive to my eyes!

Well, that’s all for my project today! This would be a great way to crank out lots of holiday cards at the last minute if you’re, ahem, a bit behind. (Not that I would know anything about that as I’m rushing around trying to get everything done! Ha!) It would look beautiful in lots of different color palettes. Easy to mass produce and fairly simple to mail, especially if you forego the gem embellishments. Are you all ready for the big day? I’m definitely not! Good luck if you’re in the same boat!! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy holidays!

Holiday Joy in Blue and White with New Simon Says Stamp!

October 22, 2025

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I am back today with a unique blue holiday card filled with all kinds of gorgeous holiday imagery and lots of shimmer using new goodies from the Simon Says Stamp Sugar and Spice release (which you can check out HERE). I love a good blue and white moment, and I am thrilled to bits that blue and white is having a renaissance in the fashion and home decor trends, with gorgeous chintzy patterns, crisp royal blue florals on a bright white background, and all kinds of glorious textures in that timeless combination. I paired the new Twisted Branch die with some older snowflakes and lots of shimmer to create this beautiful winter scene. Let’s get started with the details!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I die cut the new Twisted Branch die set using Sage cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and cutting the berries from pearlescent white cardstock, adhering the berries to the foliage with liquid adhesive. I also die cut some beautifully sparkling snowflakes using the standalone snowflake dies from the older Snowflake Frame die set. The proportions and variety of sizes on these snowflakes work beautifully with the size of the berry branches!

For the background behind the berries, I wanted to create a subtle winter sky, choosing to blend Simon Says Stamp’s Dusk Pawsitively Saturated Ink on the left side of a cool, mid-blue A2 card front. I also used some iridescent glitter watercolors to add some added texture with splatters just along the edge of the blending. The splatters react beautifully with the ink blending on the colored cardstock, creating a unique background with ease!

After I had created my background, I stamped two different sentiments from the Making Spirits Bright stamp set, stamping both onto more of that mid-blue cardstock using Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink, then adding Hero Arts Iridescent Blue Embossing Powder over the top to set the pigment ink and create a luminous shimmer on my greeting. I die cut the larger finished sentiment with its coordinating die, then trimmed the smaller “sending” with my trimmer. I popped up the branch die cut with small pieces of thin foam adhesive, then tucked the die cut snowflakes behind the branch, adhering them with liquid adhesive. I popped up the greeting with a double layer of thin foam adhesive to allow it to stand out a bit from the busy background, then added an Iridescent White Cord bow and some Dusk Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for one last touch of sparkle and texture!

Well, that’s all for my project today. I feel like I should stop myself from using blue and white on every project, but it’s so pretty that I don’t want to stop! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

Sparkling Teal Snowflake Ornament + Card with New Simon Says Stamp DieCember!

December 9, 2024

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I have a pair of shimmering, sparkling holiday projects to share with you today using some utterly luscious new snowflake dies from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember release! After I completed my graduate program and got married, I began crafting in earnest as a hobby, putting my Cricut to use to personalize everything with my new last name. I purchased so many different items to personalize, but of course only had 24 hours in the day and had far more than I could ever use up. After I became a twin mom, some of those things got put in storage in my craft closet, never again to see the light of day…. until now. I have been trying to expand my crafty time to create things a bit more tangible and longer-lasting, like my felt cardinal ornament (click HERE to see it!) and the felt stocking gift card holder (click HERE to see that one), and my framed snowy holiday decor (click HERE to see those!). Today’s project puts some of those long-forgotten blank wooden ornaments to use with the gorgeous new Snowflake Swirl die, then decided to create a matching card for a sparkling snowflake gift set. Let’s get started with the details on my projects!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

My projects were inspired by the beautiful, intense teal of the new Simon Says Stamp Rain Forest cardstock. I can never resist any shade of teal…. teal, turquoise, pool, aqua, and all variations. Blue+green=perfection in my eyes. The new shades of cardstock that were released with the DieCember release are so deeply saturated with vibrant color and die cut beautifully; they’re all wonderful additions to your craft room! I used the beautiful (and perfectly coordinated) Peacock Feathers Distress Paint to paint my blank wooden ornament before adding any embellishments.

While I waited for my painted ornament to dry, I worked on my matching snowflake Christmas card. I began by creating a card base from some Simon Says Stamp Rain Forest cardstock, using the Simon Says Stamp Score Board and used the handy guide wire on my Fiskars trimmer to cut out a window from the center of one side of the scored card. I backed the window with some of the new Simon Says Stamp Shimmer Vellum, creating a shimmery, semi-opaque window upon which I could build my project.

After I had created my background, I die cut the new Grand Pixie Snowflake from some Pinkfresh Studio Aqua Glitter cardstock and mounted it in the center of my shimmery vellum window with liquid adhesive. To help draw the eye to the center of the card and also add another touch of shine, I added a silver holographic foil frame cut using the A2 Nesting Frames dies. After I had added a foiled Reverse Typed Christmas to the center of the snowflake with some foam adhesive, I used some liquid adhesive to add lots of Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to the snowflake and the corners of the shiny foil frame. This card has so many different shimmering elements on it, which I think makes it perfect for Christmas!

After I had allowed the deep teal paint to dry completely on my blank wooden ornament, I used a silver paint pen on the top of the ornament and on the edges to make things look nice and neat. To adorn my painted ornament, I die cut the Snowflake Swirl die twice from some more Pinkfresh Studio Aqua Glitter cardstock. I adhered one of the die cuts in the center of the painted ornament with liquid adhesive, then used my sharp scissors to add small portions of the intricate die cut around the edges of the ornament, filling in any blank spots.

After I had finished gluing the sparkling snowflakes to the ornament, I added lots of super sparkly Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems. These Pawsitively Dazzling Gems are made of glass, and I cannot overstate how very sparkly and shiny they are! I used more liquid glue to adhere them to the snowflakes, adding a bit more texture and shimmer to the ornament. Finally, I added a fluffy bow tied with some coordinating teal ribbon and a loop of ribbon from which the ornament could be hung on the tree. I think I am going to make a bunch of these in different colors to adorn my holiday cookie gift boxes! So fun!

Well, that’s all for my projects today! Do you enjoy making handmade decor with your papercrafting supplies? I love finding lots of uses for my crafting supplies outside of their initial intended uses! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and Happy DieCember!

PS: Don’t forget that with every $25 Tim Holtz purchase, you can receive this adorable Be of Good Cheer die set set from Tim Holtz! Click HERE to check out all of the goodies eligible for the promotion! I used the Santa set to create THIS sweet little tag. The acrylic paint that I used for my ornament today is Tim Holtz and coordinates beautifully with all of the colors in the Distress line!

More Inspiration Using the Warm Hearts Christmas Card Kit for Simon Says Stamp!

September 26, 2024

This post was sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Thanks, Simon!

Hi friends! I am back today with some more inspiration using the new Warm Hearts Holiday Card Kit that was released for preorder yesterday! These kits, available for preorder now, are absolutely chock full of incredible products that you can use alone, together, or combined with other items in your stash! Here’s a peek at the kit, which is an incredible bargain for only $69.99:

If you purchased all of the individual items in the kit, the cost would be well over $100, but Simon has bundled all of these items to give you an awesome price. However, if you are not interested in all of the items or only see yourself using some of them, you can purchase almost all of the items individually to suit your own preferences. I will have the kit and the individual items used on my projects today linked at the bottom of the post!

I created a pair of pretty projects that I shared HERE, but I wanted to share another pair of projects that I created based on the patterned paper in the kit. Having patterned paper gives me a jumpstart on my projects, because it answers the color palette question for me. I loved the shades of blue, red, and pink in the beautiful paper pad included in the kit, so I used that along with the sweet snowmen and some additional goodies in my stash to create this pair of coordinating projects for today’s cards. Let’s get started with the details!

*I have linked all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

The kit also contains several individual 8.5 x 11″ sheets of solid cardstock, including the lovely deep navy, petal pink, and shimmering matte silver foil. I kept the color palette to these colors, adding in some pops of shining silver and rich red!

For my first card, I used the sweet snowman images from the Bundled Snowman Embossing Folder, first die cutting three of them from white cardstock using the Bundled Snowman dies (not included with the kit, but available as an add-on individually!), then embossing them using the embossing folder. I always die cut first, then emboss in order to make the embossed texture as crisp as possible. Next, I used OLO markers to add color to the accessories on each snowman, keeping the color palette to that pretty pink and blue. I also used a silver acrylic paint marker to add some shimmering details to each snowman. I love adding these little details; I think they really make such a difference on the finished product!

After I had finished the main snowman images, I used some masking paper to mask off a horizon line on a panel of the deep navy cardstock included in the kit. I used a blending brush to blend some of the white pigment ink included in the kit, creating a snowy halo behind my trio of snowmen. After I had finished blending the background, I trimmed the blended panel down 1/4″ on each side and mounted it in the center of a silver foil card front, which is included in the kit. I removed the masking paper and arranged the snowmen die cuts on the card front, adhering them with a single and double layer of foam adhesive for varied heights. I added some snowflakes on the background using a white gel pen as well as the same silver acrylic paint marker used to accent the snowmen. For the greeting, I stamped a sentiment from the Warm Heart stamp set included in the kit using white pigment ink on the navy blue cardstock, then added some Iridescent Blue embossing powder and heated it, creating a unique shimmery sentiment! I die cut and popped up the sentiment using foam adhesive, then added two clear gems on either side to add a tiny bit of interest.

For my second project, I paired the papers included in the kit with the previously-released Gift Bag Die. I die cut the bag itself from the pale pink cardstock included with the kit, then accented it with some of the pretty patterned snowflake paper, the edges of which I blended some pinky red ink with a blending brush. I added some strips of navy and silver cardstock, as well as handles cut from the silver foil cardstock included in the kit. To create a “tag,” I stamped one of the beautifully intricate snowflakes from the older Making Spirits Bright stamp set onto some of the navy cardstock using white pigment ink and added more Iridescent Blue embossing powder, then die cut the snowflake with the coordinating die and added a silver twine loop. After adding my tag to the gift bag, I added a fluffy red bow created using the length of May Arts Red Silk Ribbon included in the kit and stuffed it with some navy blue tissue paper!

Well, that’s all for my projects today. If you are looking for a kit to help inspire your holiday cardmaking and don’t love mass production, this kit definitely will do the job… it has so many elements that all work beautifully both together and individually that I could have made tons more projects and not gotten bored. You can preorder your entire discounted kit today, or if you don’t want to wait, you can purchase some of the individual items in the kit! How fun is that? BUT! Supplies are limited, and once the kit is sold out, it’s gone forever, so don’t wait if you love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
